To ask why the hate for boys?

I know this has probably been discussed before. But I seem to come across something every day that makes me feel less worthy, someone to pity and just a bit shit.
I have 2 boys. They are kind, gentle, loving and the best of friends.
So why are my friends (really ‘good’ very longstanding friends) and strangers making comments that make me feel like this. Granted they’re comments about ‘boys’ and not MY boys.
I’ve been told (by a friend with one of each) that mums of boys won’t matter when they’re married and sons will be closer to the in laws.
I was told by a friend’s husband they HAD to find out the sex at 20 weeks because they’d have been soooo disappointed if it was a boy. (In front of my boys)
I was told yesterday (also in front of them) that my friend had been put off EVER having a boy by the behaviour of her nephew.
And this is not including all mentions of trying for a girl whenever we talk about possibly having a third.
I wish I had better ways of responding in the moment but for some reason I always bite my tongue.

YABU - boys are the worst and I pity anyone with more than one.
YANBU - the world should just parent their children and stop with the stupid comments based on nothing more than genitals

I guess I was slightly glad my DS was a little boy as he's got a heart condition which would make pregnancy challenging and he might need a valve replacement which might mean warfarin which might mean heavier periods and again problems in pregnancy. So there's a sex based reason.

Do you not think if 97% of road accidents were caused by men there would be additional limits on men driving? Why is it so awful to be concerned about this statistic when it comes to violence?

This thread isn’t about hating baby boys. It was talking about how people make comments that people find offensive, regarding their child sex. It also progressed to how people often say similar things about girls as well.

The read has only become about hating men recently. And for no appears reason you told people they should just ‘become a lesbian’.

Find one post where I said I hate men or baby boys.

If the overwhelming majority of primary caregivers are female - mothers, early years carers, primary school teachers then why exactly do boys end up so different to girls?

In addition to your excellent account of all that's wrong with that, its very male to reduce the whole thing to sex, isn't it? If you hate men don't have sex with us, because that's all male/female relationships are about sort of thinking.
