...from Christmas related things. Santa lives at the North Pole and penguins at the South Pole. They are NOT Christmassy and yet they get their little beaky faces plastered on cards and T-shirts and wrapping paper.

Sticking Santa hats on random animals does not make them a symbol of Christmas.

I thought this was going to be a thread about bollards. It would have been at one time.

They still have Christmas in the South Pole though. If the penguins want to celebrate Christmas then they can.

And just because an animal lives in the snow doesn't mean it's Christmassy either. Llllamas, snow leopards, mooses, polo bears, etc.

There are a lot of things that don't quite add up about Santa and his associates but penguins are so cute that I'm willing to get them get their beaks in there.

Let's ban snow from everything Christmassy then, because it never fu*king snows at Christmas! (Well maybe once in a decade we will have snow on the ground at Christmas, but that's it!)

YABU. Penguins are super cute. Also, I have to say, me and DH have had 63 Christmas cards this year between us. Not a single penguin on one! So I don't think penguins invade Christmas too much! 🐧

It's a winter festival and the south pole is chilly so I don't see why penguins can't get a look in....
Though if you're saying decs need a north pole focus, then should there be more representation of the Aroura Borealis?
