Following on ... strange things you do! AIBU?

So following on from a thread I read earlier where the op sucked a cup of hot tea until it was stuck around her face... AIBU to not be able to resist rubbing my cheek with a McDonald's cheeseburger bread. You know what I mean right? So soft and fluffy and just totally irresistible. It's really difficult not to do this every time but when I'm in the right company and people know, they know what's coming!! Go on and tell me the strange things you do that make you happy but nobody would understand!

Poll removed because I genuinely don't want any negatively on my cheeseburger face!

I gave birth 7 weeks ago and my craving was chewing bath and/or kitchen sponges. I thought it would disappear like it did with the last pregnancy but nope! I pulled a new one out for the washing up earlier and one for me 😂

I like to stroke the skin on my neck. I've never said that out loud (or typed) but I do. The soft skin on the front of my neck just above the middle of the collar bone. It just feels soothing. I wear pendants every day to pretend I'm playing with the jewellery but actually giving that area of skin a gentle stroke. Helps keep me calm in work environments. You keep enjoying the burger buns, I haven't come across that before but there's no judgement from me.

My auntie had the same craving and I could never comprehend where all these bath sponges in her body would go?! But you know what, you do you and if that's beans on toast or a bath sponge as a replacement? Who am I to judge? I hope you enjoyed it 🤣

@sugarweregoingdownsinging I don't stroke myself but the soothing sensation you get from stroking soft skin is another level! I play with my husbands ear lobes, he hates it but to me that sensation is just WOW!

@Canwedoit4 I do the same thing with my husband's ears too! It's just a lovely soft feeling! Give the neck a go haha, it's so nice!

@sugarweregoingdownsinging OK so tried and tested it is a good feeling, I would give it an 8/10 it's just missing the furriness of the ears!

I like to pull my toenails off. If I could I’d pull the whole nail off. It gives me a nice feeling when I get a decent bit off. I used to work in minor theatre and I loved any procedures where we removed toenails.

As an aside, I once looked after a man in his 20s who had a circumcision. He still lived at home but was too embarrassed to tell his parents what he had had done. He told them that we’d removed his big toe nail. I had to bandage his toe for him, he even went out limping when his mum collected him. Bless.

Touching my dog's cold nose using my wrist. I do it to check how healthy she is, but I also quite enjoy it!

I use my thumbnail and stroke that bit between your nose and upper lip. It’s like a self soothing thing.

I like to "sing" along to music. By sing,i mean I try to Mimic the sounds, probably very badly. My husband thinks it's incredibly cute and endearing and it's taken a lot of years for me to be able to do this subconscious behaviour in front of him... I change noise for every instrument. I also really like to talk in accents, bad Australian features very heavily but it also is influenced by what I've been watching on TV. I don't even realise I'm doing this much of the time. He's fairly used to being addressed as Bruce by now.

Some of my eyebrow hairs are really thick and wirey, I get a weird satisfaction from poking my finger with them.

I also love popping spots/removing ingrowing hairs. But I think that's pretty common.

Hahaha I'm at that menopausal age and I can't stop playing with any wiry hairs I find round my chin before I can pluck them out! Also, accents! My dog can be Spanish, French, Brummie, Geordie or from the Deep South depending on the day. In fact I do it with my daughter's dog too.....
My husband just ignores me 🤣🙈

I like to twist and stroke my hair with my right hand when im watching tv, and particularly twisting it into a pretzel shape/loose knot and leaving it there so ive got a pretzel fringe.

I also count gulps, my favoured receptacles all hold exactly 7.
