I think the time has come to get a bit of magic into our houses without people thinking you are crazy for putting the tree up this early. 🙂

Let's use this thread not to boast but perhaps to give each other some ideas or motivate each other to slowly get into a Christmas mood. It's been a tough year for many myself included and whilst I did take the box with the tree out I am still waiting for this final push to start setting it up/decorating. Would love to see all your beautiful Christmas trees.

Here is last years- this years will go up next week. I love Christmas and seeing everyone's trees!

It is a real one. Every year I think the one I have is the prettiest but this one was really lovely. I move the furniture around to put it in the bay window- just suits a tree!
It brings such joy- as do all of the ones on here-I love seeing how everyone decorates and celebrates!

This is ours last year (strict 1st Dec rule here, mainly because we get a real tree and the cat always tries to climb it 😂

I don't think many Christmas trees could be described as a monstrosity actually. Whether over the top American decorations or cheapo basics, a few twinkly lights and they're all beautiful.

I love the Christmas tree threads each year. Looking forward to putting mine up at the weekend. Your trees are all beautiful.

There’s no law that says Christmas trees can’t go up before December, and there’s no official date as to when they should go up either. So people getting all huffy about it still being November need to get a grip.
ours will go up mid December as we’re on holiday for next 2 weeks, but growing up my grandparents didn’t get their tree until Christmas Eve- I’m sure the same people moaning it’s too early in November will say that’s too late

There’s no law. There should be!

I don’t mind really. I won’t put mine up for a couple of weeks but like seeing them go up in our estate. It’s a shame they are all taken down in Boxing Day though. When I was a kid, tree up Xmas Eve and stayed until 12th night.

This is ours last year. I'd hoped to get the decorations up this weekend, but I have to start chemo again on Saturday so might not be up to it.
On the other hand, on my last cycle I had steroids for the first 2 days & I'd be up half the night tidying & moving furniture. So I told hubby to get the boxes out & I might do Christmas on Saturday night 😄
We are gona have to put the tree somewhere different this year as we have a 6 month old golden retriever who is like a bull in a china shop. The tree needs to be tucked out of his way.
Our tree has all traditional decorations in all colours. Each year my daughter chooses a new decoration & we get one on our summer holidays too. The ornaments bring back many happy memories.
