I think the time has come to get a bit of magic into our houses without people thinking you are crazy for putting the tree up this early. 🙂

Let's use this thread not to boast but perhaps to give each other some ideas or motivate each other to slowly get into a Christmas mood. It's been a tough year for many myself included and whilst I did take the box with the tree out I am still waiting for this final push to start setting it up/decorating. Would love to see all your beautiful Christmas trees.

Looks better in real life. Lots of coloured lights and old decorations. Favourites are little felt birds, little owl and ceramic Island.

Not without drama as cat keeps going to drink out of the tree stand and stepping on the buttons on the plugs - randomly switching various lights to different settings 😭

@MrsMitford3 what a fabulous tree that is! It makes me think of roaring fires and cats sleeping on the rug, while snow falls softly outside. Just beautiful!

Finding it hard to get decent photos, but here are my trees.

@ChoupetteTheCat @Slavetomycat thank you so much-it is def a lot-I have never counted and it is strands of different lengths collected over the years but def 1000's.

I also use the very unfashionable lametta and I think it just catches the lights and makes it sparklier. It is what we used when I was a child and I love it.

This thread always makes me happy-I love everyone's different styles and approaches and trees and decorations!!

This is our tree this year. Here is a video I took to show someone the branches. The tree is artificial but looks realistic.

@wayyour Thank you! It is our first Christmas in this flat. The fireplace isn’t useable but we got some huge candles from Aldi for a cosy effect lol. Merry Christmas from Glasgow 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿!

Wish I'd gone for multi coloured lights, all the ones in this thread are lovely.

The elf isn't usually in the tree but I was stuck for something for him to do the other night so I fired him up there!

This year we will be away over actual Christmas so just the tiny fake tree

I’m going to cheekily add my mantelpiece that I did yesterday (greenery from neighbour’s conifer hedge!).
