At what age did you had your second DC

DH thinks we are older parents at 40 and 35 respectively. Our friends had DC early in 20s and early 30s. We had our first DC in early 30s and we are planning for second. I have been arguing that we are average age and it's not too late.
Please share your opinions and when you had your second DC

First at 31, second at nearly 34

33 for my 2nd

First 21,second 32, third 33

Almost 42 for DD, DC2. I would have had her much younger but we struggled with miscarriages and falling pregnant. It was a lot of hard work 😉but she's so worth it.

DD at 42

Probably only slightly later than friends who were mid-30's.

Normal in middle class north London circles.

I must admit this time around I do feel "done" because I'm noticeably more tired now, and was very much so throughout the pregnancy but I would guess that's because I am was chasing/doing nursery runs for 2 at that stage (and the dreaded 42C heatwave!!) It's not a bad thing though, I consider it nature's way of telling me to stop! If you really want it, go for it 😊 goodluck op.

First at 34, second at 37.
Pretty average round here.

34 with DC2

First 31, second 34. Dh was the same age.

I had mine at 21, 23, 24, 28, & 30. I’m nearly 31 now and I’m on the fence re more.

33 and 40

Wow, babies was the last thing on my mind during my early 20's. My second baby was at 37.

First at 28, second at 30

1st at 30, 2nd at 32, 3rd at 34. Pretty average among my group of friends/local area.

I had my first at 28, will be 33 when number 2 arrives.

I don't think you're an abnormal age for a second child. My cousin was 36 when she had her first.

DC1 at 35 & DC2 at 38.

DS1 is now 6 and the mums of most of his classmates are late thirties, early forties.
DC2 is 3 and most of the mums from his nursery class are early to mid twenties.

Luck of the draw as to how old the mums of your children's friends will be!

First at 21, second at 24 and third at 33 (4 months off 34)

First at 32, second at 35, contemplating another now at 37/38.

My DH is 18 months younger than me so he was 31 and then 34.

Other second time mums I know were between about 35 and 38, one had a surprise at 42. Totally depends on where you live and your social circles though.
