I understand why they are so set on destroying Hamas

Having seen the stories of the women and girls raped at the festival (reportedly over their dead friends bodies) and the people taken off as hostage; I understand why Israel want to destroy Hamas. They have said that Hamas militants are dead men. They have said that they will go after them. The worst killing of Jewish people since the Holocaust and their 9/11 with death toll of over 1300 people.

Yet some people celebrated when the killings of Jewish people (they were from many different countries) at the festival was announced.

I feel sadness for everything going on in the middle east and for all the people who are innocent are are dying. Terrorists need to be stopped.

It's no wonder the Israelis are wanting to end the terrorist group Hamas once and for all.

Why has this story been reported and hidden?

This is merely reporting what has been said by families of hostages?

Is it worth starving, dehydrating and bombing hundreds of thousands of children to get Hamas?

A story in a British National Newspaper and yet MN want to check the story before they will allow it here!

What has MN become? Making the story disappear doesn't make it go away. These things have happened. They need to be heard so it doesn't keep happening!

Israel have already killed over 500 in retaliation, is that acceptable?

I wish the people of Gaza would give up the terrorists who live amongst them. The evil terrorists hide in schools, within the people of Gaza. I wish the people of Gaza could move out and the terrorists rounded up, if only it were possible.

Reporting a story because you don't like it doesn't help.

Israel are not retaliating. They do not want to kill little children, but the Hamas terrorists don't really seem to care about protecting their children. Israel actually gives ten minutes warning before they bomb a building, Hamas tell civilians to ignore the warnings.

Why don't you look up how many children were killed by Israeli soldiers last year ?

If you baby was taken hostage, your daughter raped and killed would you say 'oh well move on'. Innocent people caught up in this are dying.

Indeed - they give warnings! That's why there were so many on TV last night saying they have lost their homes and businesses. They were warned and they got out.

Hamas gave no warning and attacked people at a festival and killed approximately 200 there of all nationalities and then took hostages of others.

That's about my view on it. Any innocent people's deaths are a terrible price but I literally don't have a clue how else they will destroy Hamas, who 100% knew what the response would be.

What has Israel been doing to Palestine for the last 15 years , have you looked that up...

Over six million Jewish people were killed in the Holocaust. Those targeted were chosen due to their religious and cultural identity not their nationality.

Hamas has undoubtedly perpetrated an atrocity, with horrendous acts made even worse by being funded by international aid. But it is cynical and incorrect to liken it to the Holocaust. Not least when already 260 children have been killed in the last few days by Israelis in retaliation, but also over recent years, where the UN and Red Cross have been clear that Israeli actions are against the Geneva Conventions and themselves fuelled more violence.

This whole situation is tragic and complex beyond anyone posting partisan messages on here.

Hizbullah etc need to be stopped.

Should Israel just say 'oh well' and carry on. They have grown in strength over the years and launched 5000 miles on the night of the festival slaughter - they are funded and armed by Iran and others.

Jewish people themselves have said it's like a second holocaust - not me. It's the words the families of the victims have used.

I've seen it on MN alone multiple times.

I see a lot of deletions in the comments and replies and sometimes things are hidden while they check a poster out, but that happens a lot on other news events too.

Each time Hamas launch rockets at them they fight back.

Hamaz are a terrorist group. Some people in the UK support them and want them to succeed in their AIM of wiping out Jewish people.

Some support Russia. Some support Al Qaida.

If Palestine could sit with Israel and denounce terrorists and they could come up with a solution - high unlikely at present but who knows Tony Blair negotiated with the IRA for the Good Friday agreement. Otherwise innocents from both countries will die.

The second comment I made was reported and had to be checked out. It was merely sharing a story a British newspaper ran about the rapes of women over the dead bodies of their friends as reported and I said no wonder they are angry.

How do you give a ten minute warning to a city that has no electricity? So nobody watching TV, listening to radio or with a charged phone?

I would also point out that on the first day of Israeli retaliation that they told civilians that a UN school was a safe area to go to and then bombed the school!
