Just wanted to put a different spin on all the negative dog threads recently.

thought it would be nice for people to share their amazing pooches. So any photos/funny stories!

This is my gorgeous girl. She loves all people and would choose a bit of attention from a stranger over any treats. She hates water and car drives but always loves the destination (even the vets!)

would love to see what little joys you have in your life!

I foster abused dogs.

The history some of these dogs come to me with, makes me really hate humans. I'm not surprised some dogs bite, given how they're treated.

Anywho, I can't describe how awesome it is, when you've taken in such a scared mistreated dog, and what my time, love, care and work can do. The trust you get from them, when they realise you're not going to hurt them.

Or the first time you see their pure joy, when they're playing with toys properly, for the first time in their life, or they're running around in the woods or beach etc. We don't deserve dogs. My user name is from affection of my latest foster.

so grateful for people like you who help to counter the evil bastards who mistreat dogs. Bless you and fuck them.

that's a cheeky wee face if ever I saw one. Adorable. These wee dogs have such huge personalities.

Definately spoilt. At risk of straying into crazy dog owner territory (no, too late for that) he also has a doggy castle with roof terrace. I'm shutting up now.
(Should also point out there is no space for human furniture in my house!)

So nice to have a thread though celebrating our dogs and how spoilt and loved they are. They are just wonderful creatures. So much better than humans.

And I really recommend these 'activity books' for them. I got them off etsy and they do keep him busy for about 15 minutes which is a bleedin miracle.

Are those activity books where you can hide treats in the different compartments?

Yes. My dog has lots of the activity games but I find they do not keep him busy for long. These activity books seem to keep him entertained longer plus they are cute! I recommend the 'Happy Birthday' one and if I am allowed the seller on etsy is PetLondon. No connection to me, I'm just a happy customer. The 'Laundry' activity book is good too.

Here’s my two. Mimi came 3rd in Prettiest girl and Chewy got a 1st in scruffiest dog yesterday. You can decide which one is which!

Bet Chewy is really proud!! My dog is never happier than when is is muddy and scruffy. He is quite disgusted when I take him to the groomers like I have ruined 'his look'.
Yours are both delightful. I love a scruffy dog.

Nuca · 27/09/2023 15:07

Here’s mine. Love him to bits but god he’s a pain in the ass sometimes

He’s a cross breed, most people think he’s a young lab and very few people guess the other breed correctly. Anyone got any guesses?

Oooo, yes,I'll join....here are mine ♥️

Oh you are so lucky. A whole family of dogs. Are they mum, dad and puppies?

ilovepixie · 25/09/2023 13:36

My baby.

So sweet. Mine sticks his tongue out too. In fact he does lots of things I didn't know dogs could do before I got him (sneezing, hiccups etc).

I love dogs but have to admit I do have a weakness for the wee fluffy ones similar to my own

littleteapotandcake · 27/09/2023 15:13

My crazy, stubborn, ball obsessed lhasa apso! He is my baby!

The big red lab is mum to the two little boys, and the old black girl is a rescue. They're a commitment, but totally worth it 😀

That's great. Thanks for recommendation. My labrador, unfortunately destroys snuffle mats, so looking for new ideas x

Lovely thread! We don’t have a dog any more but 🐶❤️ to all your lovely Waggly Ones.

AlizeeEasy · 27/09/2023 16:04

I clearly missed some drama on this thread today. I was expecting some trolls at some point, but overall it’s been lovely to see so much positivity

My mum has a greyhound too (after years of saying she never wanted one). He is a retired rescue, and is a bloody idiot.
He has beds all over the house, but sought out and chose to kip in an Ikea bag 😂

Howmanysleepsnow · 27/09/2023 21:32

Best boy ever ❤️

KellyanneConway · 27/09/2023 21:47

@Nuca is it a Weimaraner or Vizla? I’m looking at the ears, which are like my boy’s, shown here with a very dirty nose

This is a debating forum and you have said you only want dog-loving posts?

Do you have a problem with people only wanting lighthearted or uplifting posts on any other subject? There have been so many posts complaining about dogs that surely one happy thread is overdue. Btw I am not and never have been a dog owner.

@Ihateboris I'm so impressedGrin think you're only about the 3rd or 4th person to get it right. His dad was a springer and mum a lab

@KellyanneConway he's a lab x springer, but I do have such a soft spot for Weimeraners! There's 2 that often go on the beach near us and they seem absolutely bonkers in the best wayGrin

It's the beautiful floppy ears that give it a way 😂
