Just wanted to put a different spin on all the negative dog threads recently.

thought it would be nice for people to share their amazing pooches. So any photos/funny stories!

This is my gorgeous girl. She loves all people and would choose a bit of attention from a stranger over any treats. She hates water and car drives but always loves the destination (even the vets!)

would love to see what little joys you have in your life!

Beautiful pics. So nice to have a joyful doggy thread, rather than the usual miserable ones. 🐕

Littlemissprosecco · 26/09/2023 23:39

They’re all so gorgeous!

TheFreaksShallInheritTheEarth · 27/09/2023 00:40

@Poochypaws your doggo has a house AND a caravan?! Do you think s/he may be just a little bit spoilt? 😃

Love this thread. Pet pic threads are my favourite MN threads.

I love all of these so much!

I propose you start a positive dog thread on the 1st of EVERY month! All these photos are so uplifting. At last mumsnetters that like animals. This is the best use of social media, spreading a bit of joy and positivity, and I find that dogs are just brilliant at it.

Freepublictransport · 27/09/2023 06:02

My little shorty girl.
She has made my life so much better. My partner always said I could have a dog over his dead body. He died in July 2020, she came home December 2020.
She is very smart, loves to herd the cat and run in the local fields and woods.
I’m going away without her this weekend - I will miss her.

@Catsmere He is 20kg, and about knee high at his shoulders... smaller than a standard greyhound but he has no problem stretching out to fill a whole sofa!!

Littlemissprosecco · 27/09/2023 07:47

@Freepublictransport,mine has a lovely bed but prefers the floor too!!
Dogs will be dogs

Edited

I love it!

I've read before that retired greyhounds become total couch potatoes, so I'm loving the image of your boy doing that!

There is also a parenting board, but nobody says “there’s a parenting board” if someone posts a parenting related thread in AIBU.

Why the hell would you come onto a nice thread to write that? If this thread doesn't appeal, there are literally hundreds of other active threads. This thread was 100% positive and pleasant before you turned up. How sad.

DogsBite · 27/09/2023 10:34

Op asked aibu. I said yes. Don't post on aibu if you only want agreement.

This is Mumsnet. Not dogsnet.

I won't let my dog see those, don't want him getting ideas!

Here's Ru. Our 10 month old cavapoo. He's a bit of a twat but such a loving boy. First time dog owners and huge learning curve but we love him so much

Definately spoilt. At risk of straying into crazy dog owner territory (no, too late for that) he also has a doggy castle with roof terrace. I'm shutting up now.
(Should also point out there is no space for human furniture in my house!)

So nice to have a thread though celebrating our dogs and how spoilt and loved they are. They are just wonderful creatures. So much better than humans.

And I really recommend these 'activity books' for them. I got them off etsy and they do keep him busy for about 15 minutes which is a bleedin miracle.

so sorry for your loss but your dog is lovely and I hope she has helped mend your heart (they are good at that!)

Yes 3 handmade dog homes - and where does he sleep?

On the floor mostly.

Not in the dog houses. Not in his memory foam, keeps him cool, brings him breakfast in the morning dog bed - on the floor.

Sometimes on my sofa and god forbid I get out of my seat. There's a flash of black and white fur and my seat is full. Sometimes i sit on the floor as I can't bear to move him.

He definately rules the roost.

He does have a nice sheepskin rug on the floor though.
