The facts are that this is most certainly a hatchet job to get RB cancelled for sharing content with the masses that Big Tech, Big Pharma etc would rather they didn't know about

I can't believe people really think this.

Brand has been making approx 27k per month from Rumble and approx £1m pa from You Tube. He is fooling you with his twaddle.

This is not a conspiracy. It is the unmasking of a predator.

While previous reports have found similar problems, ours is different. We looked at the process from start to end, directly following the victim’s experience. The results are unacceptable. The number of cases which result in a charge and proceed to court represents only a small proportion of the total cases reported to the police. Victims should not have to wait years for a court date, experience multiple adjournments, and then report, as we have heard, that the process is worse than the offence.

“We have made a series of urgent recommendations that, if acted on, have the power to transform victims’ experiences. But we cannot continue to make the same recommendations – and that is why we are calling for widespread reform of the entire criminal justice system, supported by long-term funding.”

Criminal justice system continues to fail rape victims
The criminal justice system (CJS) is failing victims of rape, and widespread reform is needed to build trust and secure justice, a new report has found.

https://www.justiceinspectorates.gov.uk/cjji/media/press-releases/2022/02/criminal-justice-system-continues-to-fail-rape-victims/#:~:text=%E2%80%9CRape%20victims%20are%20continually%20and,prosecutors%20which%20must%20be%20overcome

This has got sod all to do with how you treated the previous poster.

Doesn't make me anything. But you are of course entitled to your opinion.

You didn’t say ‘I’m waiting to see the verdict’, or ‘I’m holding out on judgement’. You said you believe him. Those were your words.

If you’ve decided to believe him over four women initially, plus now several more, then you are either a fool or a misogynist.

MagentaRocks · 24/09/2023 15:37

The actor were to protect the alleged victims. More have come forward now too.

i agree, he isn’t guilty of anything at the moment as he hasn’t been through the courts. To say he is undoubtedly innocent means that these women have made up these allegations. Yes, false rape allegations do happen but rarely and it is a very very tiny minority if rape reports that are malicious and false. Yet we are supposed to believe that all these women have suddenly decided to make up something about RB. Or maybe, they suddenly feel listened to and are finally able to tell their story and to be believed.

lots of rape victims do not report because they are scared, afraid of not being believed and do not want to relive their trauma, face what they feel is shame a among their relatively small social group. Now magnify that to the whole country, news, online sites talking about it and perhaps understand how brave they are being and how much harder it will be for them.

BlurredEdges · 24/09/2023 10:30

Ok so @tiggergoesbounce , perhaps you'll answer the question that @twelly refuses to answer.

For these allegations to be untrue would require a huge conspiracy between many women going back several decades and in different continents.

Alongside a large number of respected, senior and well known journalists, including the excellent journalist Rosamund Urwin, whose careers would be over when the truth came out.

Do you believe this is the case?

I'll answer it.

No, it wouldn't be a conspiracy between those women, it would be Dispatches seeking out those women individually to support their desired 'narrative'.

As for 'respected journalist'... I've lost respect for so many journalists this past few years, who have point blank refused to investigate corruption within the govt, media and pharmaceutical industries, which RB is now being targetted for daring to comment on.

I question why these 'respected journalists' have spent four years going after a celebrity with a known history of sex and drug addiction, rather than, say, outing the high-profile sex offenders that will be on Epstein's client list.

Does that help answer your question? Or is there anything else you'd like to know? Genuinely.

Slightly off topic, but can someone explain to me how this talentless twerp makes so much money on You Tube/Rumble? How can I get myself the same deal?

It’s just the number of views / subscribers

Lying about rape is a serious crime.. You really believe a tv company found so many women willing to commit a crime for a tv show?

Ok, leaving aside the fact you don’t seem to understand how journalism works - of course you investigate something by talking to people - they have found women to support the narrative that RB is a sexual predator. How is that a bad thing? Are you saying that somehow finding women who he abused is some sort of smear trick? That the women he abused should have just been left in obscurity?

Or are you suggesting these women are actually liars, brought in to lie in support of the journos’ narrative?

So many journos look at corruption in the government and pharma industries. Check out the constant stream of stories about the scandals surrounding Covid contracts, the opioid crisis etc etc. Look at Private Eye, The Guardian etc.

Just because you aren’t aware of it doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

As for the Epstein list - I would be very surprised if that wasn’t under investigation, both by journalists and the police. You might want it now, now, now, but you will just have to wait until it’s ready for public consumption.

God, I just don’t understand why people are so poorly educated on how the world works.

He's effectively had a target on his back since he started speaking out about 'policy' around Covid. Using artcles from respected medical journals and peer reviewed papers to substantiate what a lot of us were thinking yet were being gaslit that we were 'just being paranoid'.

This is hardly an 'unmasking'. RB has been very transparent about his past behaviour which, at the time, was actively encouraged by the very media now condemning him.

Just seems convenient that all this is coming out now he has an enormous social media following.

Very, very few when compared to the number of men who rape.

But you know that.

Its5656 · 24/09/2023 16:04

@Jumpingthruhoops

I've never met a woman that has lied about rape.. I know plenty that have been victims of sexual assault. Some got justice most did not.

I definitely think you are correct in saying Russell Brands behaviour was encouraged.. The misogynist humour/shagger of the year crap wasn't on. There's a difference between that though and sexually assaulting school girls.
I should imagine this will now be investigated and if it's found that management knew about the criminal behaviour and did nothing then they should also be punished for that.

You've obviously made your mind up regarding Brand and think he's innocent.
I disagree.. Time will tell.

LOL at 'I don't know how journalism works'. I've worked in the media for over 25 years, so know exactly how it works thanks - probably too well. I certainly won't be 'looking at the Guardian' any time soon.

Victims should always believed. But we can't be sure these women are 'victims'... yet.

As for the Epstein list - it wouldn't need to be investigated just REVEALED based on the court evidence that resulted in Ghislane Maxwell being jailed for 20 years!

The reason it isn't being made public is likely because several high-profile figures controlling the MSM are on it!

So, respectfully, I really don't think it's me who's 'poorly educated' in how the world works.

No one cares about RB’s conspiracy nonsense. He’s an irrelevance.

Don’t you see the logical fail in your post? He was using peer reviews science papers (ie already in the public domain) to substantiate things? So he was repeating what scientists had already said? Why the fuck would that make him a target? The info is already out there.

He’s not exactly deep throat, is he?

Although that would be the perfect code name if he was a whistleblower and not a skanky addict rapist. Allegedly

Yeah, selling ad space on local papers isn’t really ‘working in the media’.

Have you considered that the list hasn’t been released because it is being investigated? Naming the people on it would leave them open to evading justice - especially if the list is full of powerful, rich people. Why would anyone take that chance?

The Brand investigation took 4 years and it was only one predator.

Of course, there is also the possibility it will never be released - but that doesn’t automatically mean it’s a cover up. It could be that no one is able to produce evidence robust enough to meet the bar for publication.

Which neatly circles back to the salient point about RB - none of these allegations have been made public without a shit ton of corroboration.

heathspeedwell · 24/09/2023 16:15

"RB has been very transparent about his past behaviour which, at the time, was actively encouraged by the very media now condemning him."

The whole point is that Brand wasn't transparent about his behaviour. He never admitted to being a rapist.

He very carefully constructed a lie that while he had a lot of sex, he was also very sensitive and thoughtful. That's why the documentary was called 'Hiding in Plain Sight'.

Once you read the accounts of his victims, it puts an entirely different slant on his actions - suddenly the fact that he was repeatedly abusive and coercive becomes obvious.

Sorry, should have been more clear by ‘no-one’ I meant no-one that matters. ie the shady government types and lizard people that control the world.

The flat earthers and anti-vax dumbdumbs signed up to RB’s channels don’t matter in the grand conspiracy, do they?

henlee · 24/09/2023 16:41

here Dispatches literally could have unearthed ALL of those women... turned out just four. And even then they were represented by actors!

@Jumpingthruhoops

I think it's incredibly unfair to try and imply the fact that the women are remaining anonymous weakens their case.

Anyone who goes public with their accusations will be subject to extreme trolling, including death and rape threats. This is the problem with kind of conspiracy theorists and fans that these sort of cases attract.

TooBigForMyBoots · 24/09/2023 16:44

Jumpingthruhoops · 24/09/2023 15:15

Don't try and twist what I've said. Sexual assault is never OK. To suggest someone would think so is frankly moronic.

I am merely highlighting that, as a sex addict, Russell Brand would have slept with hundreds of women. Yet a FOUR-YEAR investigation, where Dispatches literally could have unearthed ALL of those women... turned out just four. And even then they were represented by actors!

RB is a VERY different person to who he was all those years ago. I just question why they've chosen to expose him now...

The investigation team turned up more than 4. The others were unwilling to have their stories broadcast due to previous threats from Brand and their fear of what would happen to them and their families.

RB may or may not have stopped committing sex offences. He definitely committed them in the past and was never held to account. He is being exposed now because Despatches and the Times have done this investigation and their legal teams cleared their findings for broadcast.🤷‍♀️

Brand has known this day was coming since he was binned by Roast Battle and Katherine Ryan was kept.😊 Seems a bit convenient he disappeared from telly and focused on establishing himself as "enlightened" guru on the internet after this.

He's been grooming his followers.

squareyedannie · 24/09/2023 17:01

He has millions of followers that hang-on to his every word.

I now have an incurable health problem due to this. I couldn't give a shit about Russell Brand but I'm highly suspicious about the vaccine and how quickly it was rolled out.
