It's funny how all of his supporters want proof from the women who have come forward yet require zero proof of the crap he's spouting on YouTube. Very Strange.

His lawyers are Carter-Ruck ffs. That's a establishment as it's possible to be.

He's a rich, powerful man using the most expensive lawyers to shut down the voices of individual women.

Fair post. Although I've not said anywhere that I outright think he's 'innocent'. Just that, at this moment in time, he hasn't been found guilty of anything - aside from by the media. A 'media' he's been criticising for the past few years. That's my issue.

I personally don't like Russell brand so I'm not defending what he has or hasn't done. I'd imagine a drug and sex addict would have done quite a lot of 'bad stuff'. None of which is acceptable.

And you might be suspicious of the speed, but that’s because you fundamentally don’t understand the science behind the vaccine or tge way science research is done.

Most of the time taken to bring a new drug to the market is raising money and finding participants for studies. Neither was an issue during Covid.

The basis of the vaccine was also well tested prior to the pandemic and so they weren’t starting from scratch.

Also, I do think 'conspiracy theorist' (which RB has been called) has become a really lazy term; just thrown about to try and silence those who dare to challenge the preferred narrative. And, whether you want to acknowledge it or not, there IS a preferred narrative.

I'm genuinely interested to understand which of RB's YT videos people are specifically referring to? All the ones I've seen, he is merely discussing reports from respected journals/organisations - that those in power would rather the masses didn't see. These aren't 'conspiracy theories'.

OK, so two things. Firstly have never liked the arrogant piece of over inflated masculine shit that somehow makes BJ look positively cute and therefore can't understand why he became popular or managed to remain so. But secondly, from what I've interpreted from others who have had the vague desire (possibly required through work) to read his storyline, he's never hidden what a misogonistic (sp?) little git he is. There is a reason why the accused is named. Examples ..

12 years ago a good friend of mine reported an historic rape. Happened over 30 years ago so very little evidence (once a search of his house was done evidence was found)
By naming the accused in the local paper 16 more people come forward. The accused was found guilty and was sentenced to 30+ years.

I am going to court against my abuser this year. He hasn't been found guilty yet but fingers crossed. I knew nothing about the legalities of a court case but so far this is what I've been told.
Do I want an open or closed court?
If I choose open he can bring whoever he wants to support him so wife/children/family although I doubt he wants them hearing the sordid details.
If I choose to have a closed court he doesn't get to have anyone but neither do I except a journalist. One solo journalist is entitled to listen in regardless because the public have a right to know that the criminal justice system is working.
I am entitled to life long anonymity. He is not.

Sometimes free speech is all sexual abuse victims have there word against another's.
By naming the accused this enables the police to gather evidence that previously may not have been the case. I believe since this broke that more women have come forward. Women who before this May have believed they were the only ones so saw no point.
Of course this runs the risk of someone innocent being named and shamed but although awful (and without evidence that person has no real risk of actually being charged) There is a far higher chance that the victim is in fact telling the truth and in speaking out will get justice.
