I've been getting shit all week on other social media, from usually american nutters who actually believe the authorities are trying to shut him down.

It reminds me of the encounter between Scarlett witch in avengers endgame where she wants to kill him and he has no clue who she is.

What is he even going on about. It's not an easy cohesive video to watch. I watched the first bit - he is talking about somebody censoring him or something, about different media channels, I skipped on to later in the video , he is talking about big pharma later on.

He doesn't mention rape or the allegations once. Not in the bits I listened to anyway. It's a long video I couldn't be bothered listening to the whole thing.

My thoughts: obviously he did it. Anyone ‘sex addicted’ and pursuing their own pleasure at the expense of others in the way he has consistently done, is at the very best playing fast and loose with boundaries of consent. Innocent until proven guilty. I’m not in favour of trial by media. Allegations of rape and assault should be police business, not material for a media feeding frenzy. Assuming that at some point Brand is actually formally accused of a crime, how exactly will he receive a fair trial from a jury that will have been subjected to weeks of coverage of actions, which in many cases are already being implied as being factual crimes.

Many might suspect Brand of wrongdoing, but the methods used on him since last week could just as equally and effectively be used to ruin a person totally innocent of criminal actuvity (which may or may not also refer to Brand). Presumption of innocence as opposed to criminality isn’t some cute little thought experiment we can ignore whenever we think “yeah but actually that sounds right”. It’s one of the fundamental tenants of Western civilisation.

One last cash grab before he eventually goes down in flames.

Why are so many people enamoured with these hideously creepy men (Trump, Tate, Brand) that talk absolute bollocks and make themselves very rich by pretending to fight against the very system they are perpetuating?

Look he is innocent until a court of law finds him guilty. His face, his name is all over the internet. This is totally unfair, he hasn’t been convicted or found guilty. People accusing a man should also be named just as he is being named. He has NOT BEEN FOUND GUILTY
