"Cheeky" swimsuits. Just why?

I get it for posing on the beach, but why do swimwear makers cut the bums off suits otherwise aimed at the "proper swimming" market. I do not want to see bare arses at 0630 under the bad lighting of my local council swimming.

This, for example. Who buys this? www.arenasport.com/en_uk/006660-women-s-swimsuit-arena-mesh-panels-power-back.html

Just a thought, is it possible these women don't differentiate? They don't have beach suits, sports suits, city break suits, thin day suits etc. They just have the one outfit that makes them feel confident and happy on the one given day. Let's not try destroy that.

Out of all the possible outfits in the world which show off a woman's body e.g, tight jeans, bodycon dress, short playsuit, bustier, the idea the only one that gives joy is a swimsuit seems a bit improbable.

And even if that were true- who's "destroying" this? Has anyone suggested there should be an MN version of say the Saudi morality police hitting women with sticks and making them cover up? You'd have a point if that were the case, but it isn't.

Funny really the only thread I've come across you was an S&B thread where you were complaining about a poster trying to shut down speech (she wasn't ,although you were). Now you are trying to control thoughts. Wear a bum baring costume if you like, but don't dictate that anyone seeing it can't think it looks awful.
