"I am scared of the night, it is hurricane season, we have storms now - it is traumatising for us all"

They wanted nature, they got nature. I'm surprised they gave the baby a normal name, I thought she would be Störmii Wāve Spyrït or something

Something seems off though. Not sure what. The fact that the never had any intention of bringing the other daughter. The birth ‘at sea’- were there witnesses? Could they corroborate? Did she fly out there heavily pregnant with a return ticket booked? So how long did they intend to stay in the first place? It seems a bit dodgy.

Completely agree with this! It’s no wonder the government is reluctant to let them on their merry way- it all seems very suspect!

powershowerforanhour · 12/08/2023 23:03

Looking at the map a PP put up, I bet the British consulate staff in St Vincent and the Grenadines are thanking their lucky stars and high fiving each other that the whole clusterfuck passed them by.

Reigateforever · 12/08/2023 23:08

France tries to stop illegal immigrants giving birth on its islands and then claiming French citizen ship. Every country has boat people trying to claim right to entry not only the Uk.

Remember that the baby was born in late April and we don’t know when these pictures were taken. I don’t think the baby looks as though it’s fourteen weeks (which it would be of the pictures were bang up to date) but it doesn’t look like a newborn either. And the mother is a yoga teacher so likely to have rock hard abs.

I thought the baby looked quite new in the first of the swimsuit photos, but more likely explanation she's older.

Still if I were the police there I'd be making subtle inquiries to confirm there was a pregnancy/demand the mum also did a DNA test just to be really really sure. Obviously horrible for the mum to be treated with such suspicion, but under the circumstances seems like basic due diligence and unless her entire pregnancy was undocumented should be very routine to clear up.

I flew 4,000 miles to give birth on a beach — now I’m trapped like a prisoner

“I can’t sleep at night,” the new mom declared, saying she has been caught up in a bureaucratic nightmare. “I can’t stop crying, we are begging for help – we hav…

This is one of my most favorite threads ever. The most compelling argument is the mad freemen of the land one. Good god, some people, (Clive, Clive, & Dave in particular) have too much time on their hands.

😂

Although if Grenada say no they might be next port of call!

If you’re that interested - you could do it? Looking forward to your updates 🤣

Sorry Testina - I knew I wasn't going to be able to put the research in today. I apologise for having a prior engagement. Grin

However, I am in awe of the detective work on this thread. I confess I don't have the skills of so many on this thread. Sorry about that.

Oh come on @NumberTheory your interpretation of “The registration office, immigration office and passport offices on St Lucia turned them away according to the article” is doing some heaving lifting there 🤣

The article says:
“Initially, they were told by a hospital they couldn't register her birth because she was more than 24 hours old. Then an immigration office said they needed proof the baby was theirs before a passport office said they couldn't help because the couple had no proof of where Louisa was born.”

That’s like me going sad face in the paper, “I went to KFC, McD and Burger King, and no-one would sell me a pizza” 😢
Oh - and for it to come out that the guy in Burger King was half way through drawing me a map to Domino’s when I just walked out and sailed to another country and asked their local chamber of commerce to go and get me pizza whilst I sat on my arse.

Even in your very short quotation all 3 agencies didn’t just slam the door in their faces, but told them why they couldn’t help - this signposting what the couple needed to do next. Like, get a DNA test.

LOVE this explanation Grin

So stupid, so selfish, so entitled. Zero sympathy. What's wrong with Skeggy? 😆

I wonder how long they thought through this plan for. Wouldn’t the babies passport and wether that baby was actually theirs have come into their minds as a posed question. Common sense lacking and a massive risk to mum and baby I think. It’s their 8 year old I’m feeling sorry for. Who leaves their child behind to do that? Oh yes….

Lucky it wasn't a boy. Real Trigger moment there!

"We've called it Clive. After Dave"

Oh my, I'm crying now.
This thread is so brilliant. I have spent so long reading through it all tonight.

I am in absolute AWE of the detectives on this thread Shock

RedToothBrush · 13/08/2023 00:30

If anyone can offer me an explanation to how Iullia end up on the records living at the same address until 2020 (Clive Fr disappears in 2018). And looks to be living by herself.

Meanwhile a Clive Fr pops up at another address in Stalyvegas between 2018 and 2022...

changernamer8 · 13/08/2023 00:32

Her boobs don't exactly look full of milk either. Mine are quite small but I felt like Dolly Parton when I had my babies.

changernamer8 · 13/08/2023 00:37

And what about those big maternity pads after the birth? I don't even think a swimsuit would fit over one?
You need granny pants after birth not lycra.

Ginburee · 13/08/2023 01:03

This is just nuts and likewise it seems like there is something fishy going on.

Oioicaptain · 13/08/2023 01:11

They feel abandoned! Erm...what about their 8 year old? And also, someone else is having to care for her. That's a massive ask.

maratara · 13/08/2023 02:07

I'm going to go back and read the full thread, but ( I know it's OT) but that man looks unhealthy. Just placemarking really TBH

NosinaBook · 13/08/2023 02:29

It seems really suss to me, maybe they were after citizenship and thought this was a way in. Why on earth would anyone plan this without comprehensive insurance and plenty of funds for emergencies in the bank? How did she get to fly in the first place? Did she hide the fact she was pregnant? It's so odd.

Doesn't he just look old?

Sittingonasale · 13/08/2023 03:33

That baby looks Swedish to me not British. 🤔✊

changernamer8 · 13/08/2023 03:17

Doesn't he just look old?

Maybe. It's probably just the deep clefts around his shoulders. It may be that thing when really fit people get older they look worse than the people that just toddles along. Ex-boxers are a good example.

Saschka · 12/08/2023 15:04

She has Clive’s surname. Birth certificate very easy to find online. Iuliia is her mother. So we can discount the step parent drama.

Jeez, I thought I was good! You beat me hands down!

How insulting, to Darwin that is, he would probably have been appalled at the behaviour of this species, doubt he would have wanted his name associated with this fiasco.

No, the Darwin awards are a thing - they've been around since 1985.

"The criterion for the awards states: "In the spirit of Charles Darwin, the Darwin Awards commemorate individuals who protect our gene pool by making the ultimate sacrifice of their own lives. Darwin Award winners eliminate themselves in an extraordinarily idiotic manner, thereby improving our species' chances of long-term survival."[1]"

Darwin Awards

(So these two aren't even contenders, since they're still around and have already reproduced, or at least she has previously.)

Btw apologies if anyone else has already posted this, I'm just making my way through the thread.
