I just can’t fathom the utter fuckwittery of thinking this was in any way a good idea. Seems like some people just get an idea in their head and go with it without even thinking it through! Poor daughter left behind without parents too. Just beggars belief!

RitzyMcFitzy · 11/08/2023 14:04

I notice their ages 38 and 51. I wonder if the 8 year old is her daughter and this is Clive's second marriage.

I wonder if he has an ex-wife back in Stevenage or wherever, having a good old wheezy laugh on the group chat today about Clive's predicament.

IncompleteSenten · 11/08/2023 14:04

What a pair of bloody idiots.

JayAlfredPrufrock · 11/08/2023 13:54

Blackpool beach would have sufficed I’m sure.

😂😂😂

thecatsthecats · 11/08/2023 14:07

Apart from the many, many, many things wrong with this...

Giving birth on a beach? Fucking hell, all that sand, and all the places it can get?

FourTeaFallOut · 11/08/2023 14:07

Britintheusa · 11/08/2023 14:03

I can't get my mind past all the sand... Why would you ever want to give birth in that????

Quite 😬

VeronicaMars2023 · 11/08/2023 14:08

Early birth is always a risk. They must have known this. They chose to ignore the risk and are now in a situation entirely of their own making.

As always, no mention of travel insurance. Add me to the list of MMers counting down to the inevitable GoFundMe.

Pinkpetunias23 · 11/08/2023 14:08

Wow. This is all their own making, so I don't feel sorry for them at all. They have put their own wants above the safety of their baby and the needs of their other child. Fair enough they wanted a natural birth, but they could have done that in the UK. Why go so far away? I'm guessing they just wanted an excuse for a nice holiday and it's backfired terribly.

SunRainStorm · 11/08/2023 14:09

Waiting for the gofundme post to appear. They certainly seemed keen to make their lack of funds known.

Poor eight year old, what hope does she have with sick selfish idiots raising her.

SoCentralRain · 11/08/2023 14:09

She flew at 35 weeks, so potentially intended to have been away from her other daughter for six weeks while they waited for the birth to happen naturally. The mind boggles.

That’s what stood out to me too, abandoning your little girl on a whim, that’s not very natural is it? Bloody idiots.

As an aside what’s wrong with Scarborough? 😂

MrsMarzetti · 11/08/2023 14:09

Adults with the mental age of 6. I really feel for their children, imagine being raised by idiots.

RudsyFarmer · 11/08/2023 14:10

Poor middle class idiots.

PetersSpecialCheese · 11/08/2023 14:10

Absolute muppets.

RitzyMcFitzy · 11/08/2023 13:56

Clive and Iuliia sound like a right pair of fannies. Best of luck to their 8 year old and their newborn.

‘Pair of fannies’

brilliant 😂 and sums them up to a t 👏🏼 👏🏼

I have a sudden memory from about 5 years ago of a couple who flew to NY around the woman's due date, she gave birth, they had no medical insurance, and then they promptly rinsed a lot of gullible idiots for ££££££ after telling everyone their sob story.

I seem to remember they gave their kid a really stupid name too

Elis44 · 11/08/2023 14:14

And of course they need a DNA test to prove this baby is theirs and not a ‘scam’ to bring home a baby that isn't their baby.

LadyWhineglass · 11/08/2023 14:15

Apart from the sand, I wouldn’t want to be on holiday and have to witness that from my sun lounger. The noise would put me off my third margarita.

userxx · 11/08/2023 14:16

Monster80 · 11/08/2023 13:59

Absolute incompetents. And now a total f’ing waste of British consulate time. Why oh why were they ever allowed out of Manchester.

We dont bloody want them! I'm 99.9% sure I speak for the whole of Manchester.

aintnospringchicken · 11/08/2023 14:16

I have absolutely zero sympathy for this couple.
Their claim that they have been abandoned is ridiculous.
My sympathy goes to their 8yr old child left at home,as she is the one who has been abandoned by her selfish self centred parents.

Britintheusa · 11/08/2023 14:03

Yes exactly, couldn’t think of a more uncomfortable environment to give birth.

TerfTalking · 11/08/2023 14:17

We are running out of money. We will soon run out of food, and nobody is helping us

I mean, really, who exactly do they think should be mopping up the mess they intentionally caused. What a couple of feckin idiots.

EmmaOvary · 11/08/2023 14:17

It also says they waited three days to take the baby to hospital to get checked over?!

Skinnermarink · 11/08/2023 14:18

Something seems off though. Not sure what. The fact that the never had any intention of bringing the other daughter. The birth ‘at sea’- were there witnesses? Could they corroborate? Did she fly out there heavily pregnant with a return ticket booked? So how long did they intend to stay in the first place? It seems a bit dodgy.

Thirty5 · 11/08/2023 14:18

Absolutely idiotic fools, I should imagine family services will be involved when they eventually get back.

Busubaba · 11/08/2023 14:19

I believe that sand was already in their brains long before they reached the beach!
