Topless abroad . Yes or no

Just after everyone's opinions. I'm on an all inclusive holiday . Nothing flash . European destination. Hot sunny . 3*. Would you feel offended if a female sunbathes topless at the pool? Just for context I have done , but put bikini top on to go in pool and her drinks . It's literally just going topless when laying on sunbed . More context age range is babies up to 70+ . Lots of different shapes and weights of people . Lots of bellies make and female and lots of big boobs on men. Like I say this is just for context . Just interested in people's opinions. I'm with my husband on holiday .

Also agree with @SerafinasGoose we are definitely going backwards.

Only British get worked up about this, you can always tell the brits a mile off on the beach, not only are they fat, they go to extreme lengths trying to change under these bizarre contraptions on the beach, drawing even more attention to themselves tying themselves in knots than if they just whipped their shorts or whatever off. Tits out wouldn't draw a second glance, unless they were extraordinary tits of course. I'm British and currently on holiday, brits abroad make me cringe!

It if was in Europe I wouldn't see it as a problem at all, and have sunbathed topless many times in the past when I was slimmer than I am now. But obviously it wouldn't be acceptable in a North African or Middle Eastern country.

We usually holiday in France or Italy, and it’s very unusual for there not to be any topless women at either the beach or pool, and the majority are usually older ladies. No one bats an eyelid.

I just think the British are Victorian-levels prudish and it’s ridiculous. It’s only sexual if you make it sexual or are in a sexual situation. I recently went to a UK small hippy festival that had a naked sauna and fire pit outside that people sat around chatting in the nude. Pensioners, 20somethings, singles, couples, fat, thin, everyone was naked and there wasn’t a single sexual thing about it. It’s just bodies, we all have them. As for “but my husband might see your boobs and like them” well…yes, other people apart from your spouse can be attractive, there’s nothing wrong with subtly appreciating that as long as you’re not ogling with your tongue flapping out.

No and honestly I would judge anyone who does, it’s bad enough men that are allowed to walk around in speedos, I really don’t want to see anyone in the nude.

To be honest, I judge pretty much everyone who lies out in the sun whether their tits are out or not.

I have no problem with topless women sunbathing at the beach / pool etc.

BUT the social/cultural norms/taboos of male and female toplessness are different and it's silly to pretend they're not.

I wouldn’t do it. And I think on a beach it’s perfectly acceptable. In a resort / hotel pool with mainly UK guests I don’t think it’s the done thing nowadays. I wouldn’t be offended, but my kids would stare and possibly ask a million questions. I just wouldn’t feel comfortable on a sun bed with 70 year blokes, 22 year old blokes milling around.

Same. Wouldn’t go topless ever because melanoma. I cover up in the sun but if someone wants to go topless then fire away and take the risk.

If you really think men are wanking to photos of topless sunbathing you have never been on a porn site.

I don't particularly want sun on my boobs/nipples.

But I'm really shocked at the amount of people on this thread, who have a problem with a woman taking her bikini top off when sunbathing!

I wish it was more normal. I wouldn't get mine out as I hate them.

Sorry, it’s a no from me, on the beach but not by families at the pool, we would feel awkward. But I’m quite a prude and we are quite private. I don’t want to see my own boobs out let alone anyone else’s haha

I wouldn’t myself, not now when my boobs are old and saggy or when I was younger with perky ones.

It’s not really the done thing anymore either so it’s quite unusual to see. When I’d go to South of France in the 90’s with my family pretty much every woman was topless. Now not so much, I haven’t seen anyone doing that since 2002.

I wouldn’t judge someone sunbathing topless on the beach but round the pool I would. Especially if it’s a family hotel. Plenty of adults only hotels around to do whatever in.

I wouldn't do it now (did years ago), mainly due to skin cancer risk rather than any lack of body positivity. Plus not been abroad in years!

Wouldn't bother me at all, I did it a lot on holiday when I was younger. Now I'm older, fatter and got saggier boobs, I'm not so keen 🤣

There are porn sites and forums specifically for covert shots of unsuspecting women - often wives of girlfriends of the posters taken when changing or sleeping, but also upskirting type shots of strangers in public. It's way less explicit than videos of actual porn but the voyeuristic thrill of sneaking pictures of non consenting unaware women is a whole fetish in itself and it's not that niche.

@Moveoverdarlin what 'million' questions would they ask?

Surely "because women are allowed to take their tops off here, just like the men", would be enough of an answer?
