How often do you wash your bra??

This afternoon my sister and I were chatting and this came up- she washes her bra's after every wear. I am quite the opposite... my brand's go many many wears between washes and never seem obviously dirty or have any kind of scent.

AIBU and a skanky cow or is she being a clean freak? Just wondering what the general consensus is?

Also to clarify... we had this conversation getting changed at the gym- the only exception to my rule is sports bra's which do get sweaty and are washed after every wear.

After 3 or 4 wears, similar to jeans. I don't really sweat and shower every day or every other day depending on what I've been doing. Knickers and socks after every wear obviously.

I have tiny boobs and wear crop tops and tbh maybe once a week! They don’t smell and are not like knickers that are right up close to your bits!

When they either look dirty or smell dirty.

There was a similar thread about bedding on here recently. Someone claimed to change their bedding every day. Lunacy!

When it's hot in the summer daily....a hand wash at least

Honestly? Rarely. White ones more frequently than black ones but still not very frequently. They are probably my least washed item 😂

Christ, me too. My boobs don't sweat! My back doesn't sweat. My bras don't touch my armpits. So every day would be extreme overkill. Every week would be overkill, in fact 😁.

Sports bras, after every wear, of course.

I don’t wear bras for many hours, could be 4 hours or less a day so I tend to wash my bras after a few wears.

2 or 3 wears between washes.

Every 4-7 wears. If I've been extra sweaty then it goes straight in the wash basket, though.

In my defence I have tiny tits and rarely sweat.

I don't particularly sweat much but I wash everything after one wear apart from trousers, which I wear twice, and silk tops or cashmere jumpers which I just air very thoroughly and wear two or three times. I'm not very good at hand washing!

Not often enough

Every 1 or 2 wears, no more, and i wash them. Sports bras are washed after every wear.

I wash bra after 3/4 wears. Knickers after every wear. I have small pert boobs though so I don’t get under boob sweat.

Knickers and bras aren’t really comparable in how dirty they get

I’ve got massive knockers I still can’t be arsed with bra washing 😂

I'm skanky like you. They honestly rarely seem smelly. I don't think my boobs sweat. 😆 We all wash clothes too much so I refuse to feel bad about it. The only things that always get washed after every where are tops/dresses after an all day wear and pants, leggings and exercise stuff. And the. Obviously if things are smelly or have been spilt on etc. Jeans, skirts, jumpers etc I try to hang up on the wardrobe door to air for a day or so and then put away. I have more than enough washing despite this!

Everyday. We have many sweat glands under our breasts.

After each wear but, in fairness, I only have small boobs and I only buy cheap bras from ASDA which fit me perfectly so I have loads of them.

The equivalent of every 1-2 weeks of wear, but I don’t wear the same one every day.

I think the main thing that dictates this is how big your breasts are and how much they hang down. Mine don’t fold over onto my torso at all so there’s nowhere for them to sweat.

Same! I was trying to find a comment like this! My house is spotless, all other underwear is washed after one wear, but for some reason my sole bra gets totally neglected. I probably need to buy some more after seeing this thread which has shocked me a bit…!
