Car crash at Wimbledon school.

Can everyone stop driving these fucking stupid ego-tanks in urban areas now?

Who needs a fucking wank panzer in Wimbledon???

I think this is important, the focus (obviously) has been on the child's death but the huge carnage and maiming caused by the incident has not really been discussed much. So many lives ruined and changed for ever. Including hers as well.

Is there any indication as to whether she too was a mum at the school?

No one is trying to argue that a car the size of a mini cant cause damage if it crashes, BUT the larger and heavier the vehicle the more damage it will tend to cause, had that mini been a much larger vehicle the damage would have been greater (assuming all other factors were held equal)

The problem isn’t SUVs. The problem is that whenever an SUV causes an accident near a school it always tends to be a small woman driving them. As someone who has test driven one I can confirm that even with power steering they are more difficult to move / brake than a smaller car. Manufacturers need to be honest that they make / test them for men.

All safety features in cars are designed for and tested on men. I did some research into this for a potential WI campaign and there are stark statistics about the likelihood of death or serious injury for men and women in accidents and women come off significantly worse.
