Well just that really….I have gay, straight, bi sexual and transsexual friends and absolutely have no problem with that, very much a do what makes you happy person.

Butttt….AIBU to think the world is going a bit mad with all the non-female, cis female and whatever other labels are floating about. I’m a woman and that’s that, you are either biologically a male or biologically a female and I don’t mean that in an insensitive way dress how you like and date who you like but surely we can’t just be inventing different/new sexes and telling straight women they are no longer a woman they are now XYZ?

The easiest way to tell if Caster is male or female is a blood test. Secondary sex characteristics (genitals) no longer need to be examined.

Apparently Princess Anne is the only female Olympic competitor to not have undergone the compulsory sex test to ensure athletes competing in the female category. I believe the tests have evolved from the 1940s onwards and now are hormone based.

The hormone tests allegedly showed Caster has a DSD only men can have.

CampervanKween · 26/06/2023 15:05

I believe he has also fathered several children with his wife, although the details of all that are kept quiet for some reason 🤔

There's no 'allegedly' about it, the court for sport arbitration (might not be called that exactly) judgement is upthread. Caster Semenya has 5ARD, which is a DSD which only affects males. He is male, all involved in the sport know this, only the public are deliberately kept uninformed about it.

borntobequiet · 26/06/2023 15:32

While sport is being mentioned, can I recommend Sharron Davies’ book (with Craig Lord, a swimmer and sports journalist) Unfair Play. It’s a very good read, well-written and well evidenced, and even though I knew quite a lot already I was shocked at some of the instances of men self-identifying in to women’s sport, the way sporting bodies (including the IOC) enabled and continue to enable this, the way women’s concerns were dismissed and the shocking abuse those who speak out are forced to endure.
It also details the historical biases against women in sport and the difficulties and deliberate humiliations they had to endure in order to compete. An eye-opener.

It's really not a secret at all, there have been plenty of magazine articles about their family in ZA and they have the girls on their instagram: https://zalebs.com/relationships/caster-semenya/meet-caster-semenyas-wife-and-beautiful-children

Meet Caster Semenya's Wife And Beautiful Children

Here is everything you need to know about Caster Semenya’s wife who is one of her biggest supporters, their love story, and their beautiful children.

Even then, it's abundantly obvious if you read the publicly available and easy to find judgement. But the press so seldom mention it. I suspect some of the people who think Caster is just a female with an unusually high level of testosterone might think differently if they knew about the Y chromosome.

Sonographer at my scan: "would you like to know the sex of your baby"

Me: "yes please"

Pretty sure there are only two options 🙄

Sonographer: “You are having a beautiful baby trans, the baby is a cis boy and does have a penis but we will arrange for an emergency operation to remove it immediately upon birth”.

Helleofabore · 26/06/2023 16:51

If anyone is interested in the background of why the IOC dropped sex testing, you might want to read this.

Again, note the usage of the word 'female' to describe male DSD conditions. No female is insensitive to testosterone. That would only ever be a male person, I believe.

But it is this language that misinforms. And that is fine people haven't the interest or time to check. But .... if you have not taken the time to research further, please stop posting it with such certainty and moral superiority.

The press quite deliberately obfuscate it, because they don't want to tell the truth. If everyone clearly understood that CS is male and has all the advantages conferred by male puberty, that would open up a seam of conversation about how that's unfair.and shouldn't be allowed. Which might then also be applied to males with special identities. And we can't have that because most marginalised and vulnerable ™.

It was this issue which really brought home to me that main stream media will blatantly lie and throw women under the bus in service of the queer agenda. To describe CS (or the other athletes with DSDs competing in women's sports) as a woman with a high natural testosterone is a bare faced lie which MSM have made again and again. They know, everyone involved knows, that CS is male. They've just decided it's best we not say so. Best for who? Not women, but who gives a shit about them?

Yes, there's very much a party line.

Caster has a micro-penis.

And more importantly, does NOT have a vulva/ vagina.

Caster is aman.

Helleofabore · 27/06/2023 07:41

To be fair viper, I am still waiting for shatteredmum1 to* return *with the evidence that Semenya has a vagina. I am very intrigued as they declared it very confidently.

I wondered how they knew.

Has Semenya ever said? Has the poster got inside information?

I mean they doubled down on it, so surely they wouldn’t do that unless they knew.

Hadn't thought of that @Helleofabore .

You must be right.

I'm sure that reliable medical evidence (though hopefully not photographs) will be posted soon.

Helleofabore · 27/06/2023 08:00

I mean, semenya said in 2009 they offered to show the medical board their vagina with the words ‘I am a woman’. So based on the lie ‘I am a woman’ knowing absolutely by then that Semenya was indeed male with testes, I wouldn’t trust the offer to see the vagina. It sounds more like grandstanding to me. Like Willoughby offering some Tv host to see their cervix.

However, it is possible that they have a ‘blind ended’ vagina. One that is short and not connected to anything else. Certainly not a functional vagina in any way.

So, yes, are people taking Semenya’s word for it? It doesn’t matter at all to me, I am wanting to understand why people double down on repeating it.

Tippingadvice · 27/06/2023 08:04

Whether or not Caster has a fully formed vagina or not, is not a determining factor of their sex.

It’s chromosomes and hormones that are in every cell of Casters body.

Funnily enough, just after I replied to you before, Holly Willoughby's cervix sprang, unbidden, into my conscious mind.

Now I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Oh, of course. Oooops

I meant India. I mean, India Willoughby might have been told their neo vag has a cervix and is just repeating what some well meaning surgeon told them.

This thread just shows the willingness in which some people blindly accept what they are told, do no further research of their own, then go on to repeat that lie to other people.
It's how facts are diluted so much that the lie becomes the "truth" over time, even when the facts are there for anyone who wishes to find them.

It's infuriating that in 2023 some people still think "intersex" means you are hovering somewhere on a "spectrum" between male and female, that there is some ambiguous third sex, that some people are "hermaphrodites" like the old Victorian fakes found in freak shows, that the party line touted by the TRAs is unquestionable fact.

There are a lot of people in this thread who have undoubtedly repeated those same old blatant lies and misinformation to other people.

It's incredibly sad.

Helleofabore · 27/06/2023 14:32

What a very sad state we are in though that we have to spend time checking for original source information to either prove or disprove what we read?
