To be intrigued what Holly is really like

For so long I thought she was really lovely (from seeing her on tv etc)
Then I read some things on here and other sites over the years about her not being that nice and now the way things have gone over recent events with P.S, it makes her be seen in a different way.
So, what is she really like I wonder, it’s so hard to see her as anything other that lovely or want her to be anything other than lovely and I don’t know why 🤷🏻‍♀️

Totally up her own a**e and too much exposure on ITV over the years. Will be glad to see less of her

I've only just seen the video of her sickly speech. She comes across as cold, calculating and ruthless. Those traits seeped out of her performance.

I'd imagine a person? Not all perfect and lovey dovey per TV persona, but unlikely to be a characature of a Disney villain either.

I think she does probably have a nice side as most people do but to get where she is she also must be ambitious and at times quite cut throat; the last few weeks have shown that.

I wonder are most successful people really lovely. They get to where they are by being ruthless and willing to make the hard calls. It’s a fake persona the nicey nice. She didn’t get to where she is today looking for ‘josie hugs’

I always wonder if her and Fearne Cotton are still besties?

I couldn’t care less about Holly but I always wondered why her and Phil were everywhere. Why couldn’t they get someone else to present dancing on ice? So boring having the same faces everywhere. It’s like Ant and Dec. Yawn.

@Gistbury So would I, there’s not many people that you can’t sort of get a sense of who they are, it’s totally confusing when it comes to her, to put on such a performance of being one way, how can she be completely another way. I generally think I’m good at having a feeling about people, it’s weird!

I also feel like she might have used to have been genuinely nice years ago, but has become awful in recent years, but why?

I never understand why people care if presenters or celebrities or actors are “nice” or “lovely” (whatever that means). If they’re good at their job and not doing anything illegal or hugely unethical then whether or not they’re sickly sweet in real life or whether their relationship with their co-presenter or band mate or fellow actor is good, bad or indifferent doesn’t matter to me at all. Most people have a range of relationships with co-workers and aren’t perfectly lovely all the time, I don’t see why someone who is paid to be saccharine sweet presenting This Morning (another form of acting really) should be any different to the rest of us in real life.

Op, with all respect you must be quite naive. Even my then eighty year old mum called out how fake she came across, and that was around ten years ago.

@Frances0911 Oh for sure she’s always been sickly sweet sometimes, but how could a person literally turn that on and off so easily and seemingly be the complete opposite off stage…awful

But why would you know her or have a feeling about her - she presents a television programme you presumably watch. You have no actual relationship with her at all. She’s not your friend, she’s got no clue who you are, you’ve never met her…. Of course you don’t have a sense of who she is.

Nice people do exist. Fake nice people like Holly are often worse than straight talking people like Eamonn.

Quite. I've only seen her on I'm a Celebrity and she was unwatchable she was so insincere.

No idea what she's like and I don't watch This Morning, but I always remember her and Ferne on Celebrity Juice doing this disgusting thing with a massive frankfurter where they were both kind of deep throating it (can't believe I just typed that!) And it just seemed so vile and demeaning and weird, I can't believe they lowered themselves to do stuff like that.

She has probably become complacent. When Schofield got her the job, she was finding her feet and needed his guidance. She doesn't need that anymore. He's surplus to requirements. She was very composed during her speech, very robotic and fake.

I’m not sure why you’d care what she’s really like. She competently presents television programmes. That’s all that matters isn’t it?

The fakeness is much more obvious now she is presenting with Josie than it was with PS.
