Is it massive enough? How many weeks will this feed my family for I need to know!! Yabu- that’s not massive enough you’ll starve yanbu- that’s massive mate.

Ok, I’ll bite.

No. It’s not a really big salad. It’s more a selection from the deli aisle with a few leaves added. Plus strange cooked mushrooms.

It’s not balanced, very indulgent and confusing. One protein ok. But you have 3 plus carbs plus weird mushrooms. I’ve never seen a “salad” like it and it looks horrible. A dish for people who dislike salad in fact.

I’ve just made a big salad. A bag of rocket mixed leaves with carrot, sundried tomato, capers, avocado, celery, onion, roasted courgette and half a tin of tuna. Dressed with a lemon vinaigrette.

FYO this is what a massive salad looks like.

If I’d known I was going to post it online I would have chopped things neatly and styled it a bit 😂

Obesity, vanity sizing, we all think we’re a size six but in actual fact we’re all a size twenty four at best, bit more about obesity, strain on the NHS, eat less, move more, if you’re eating anything other than homegrown lettuce you’re killing yourself with UPFs, bit more about obesity, oh, don’t forget to throw in something about carbs, try keto, I’m evangelical about keto, blood sugar, low carbs, no carbs, low sugar, no sugar, low fat, no fat, obesity.

My active DH who cycles 30 times an houe and 3 sons, who are all 6 foot strapping rugby players, and myself, who fits into a pocket, would struggle to eat this, you fatty.

Those eggs look amazing. Garlic mushrooms are not for me, but otherwise I would eat the hell out of that Massive Salad.

I'd not call that a salad.

Cold chicken
mushrooms
eggs
hummus
lettuce
red pepper?
cucumber
potato salad

If it were me, I'd have either chicken eggs or hummus.

Not all 3.

It would last me for the whole day, because I'd have the chicken 'salad' for lunch, the 2 eggs for breakfast, and the hummus (with some more salad) for supper.
Plus some fruit and yoghurt.

What you have described is, in fact, a salad. Similar to famous salads like nicoise, a cob salad, or a chicken Caesar.

It’s restaurants often call a chef’s salad, ie all the bits of protein they need to use plus leaves.

I am disappointed by the lack of mayo hysteria on the thread so far.

No. A salad unless you’ve asked for a Nicoise etc is a bowl of delicious rainbow colored vegetables like the one below and even then when you have a Nicoise the salad part of it is more than the rest of it.

Something like this at the very least and served in a deeper bowl and a dressing of your choice if any.
