Not the point, but how long do you boil your eggs for to get them that jammy? They look perfect!

Looks excellent except for the mushrooms which are weird in a salad but I suppose everybody's different. I like sauerkraut with mine. And I don't like mayonnaise so it would be plain potatoes. But definitely YY to the eggs.

@greennotepad you need an electric egg steamer. Perfect every time. Ours was about £10 from Amazon, no particular brand.

But it’s not a salad. It’s a bowl full of eggs, chicken, potato’s and hummus on a bed of salad leaves and and tomato’s.

I feel quite weak looking at all that food. Is that for a family of four or six? I’m guessing that you have sons who are big eaters.
I’m a teensy tiny size 6 so would probably pass on that. By the way, did I mention I have such tiny wrists that I just can’t wear bracelets because they fall off.

You lard whale - we don’t know regular portion sizes anymore [something something NHS something about the obesity crisis] That would feed me for a month but then I am only one molecule thick.

What you have described is, in fact, a salad. Similar to famous salads like nicoise, a cob salad, or a chicken Caesar.

It’s restaurants often call a chef’s salad, ie all the bits of protein they need to use plus leaves.

I am disappointed by the lack of mayo hysteria on the thread so far.

YABU there’s a cost of living crisis and you’ve plated up a weeks worth of food for a family of 4 who will now starve from your gluttony.

It looks really good. I could pass on the mushrooms but other than that it looks fab - I’d eat it but I’d replace the chicken with 2 more eggs (I love eggs - only 4 will do)

That is a massive salad - it would feed my family of 589 for a year - no wonder there is an obesity crisis, etc etc

So what is a salad then?

My active DH who cycles 30 times an houe and 3 sons, who are all 6 foot strapping rugby players, and myself, who fits into a pocket, would struggle to eat this, you fatty.

I think we have lost sight of what a portion is.

Urrrghh eggs. Rank. Looks lovely apart from that, it would last 3 weeks in my house.

Bet the eggs are from a food bank because benefits etc etc
