He’s had a lot to say this morning, probably things, he, and many others, have wanted to say for a long time, very interesting. He and Ruth seem to be v well
liked and respected in the industry and are good, decent people.
It seems karma is working it’s magic, which is so rare with workplace bullies and arseholes, I’m so here for it. May the decent people prevail!

I ve met him, did a game show he hosted and he was rude and totally obnoxious.

I’m not sure if Eamonn is nice or not but a journalist friend of mine worked with and met Phil and Holly through work and said both are vile, very nasty.

Karma really is a bitch in this case.

Philip’s actions re the runner and his knowing about his brother’s activities basically means This Morning had no option but to sack him. He’ll cling onto other presenting gigs along with Holly doing the same.

Nobody ever just leaves This Morning - there's always a shit load of controversy surrounding every departure

True! There’s always gossip and hurt feelings in the background too. Is the problem with the management at ITV or the editor Martin Frizzell? (Husband of Fiona Phillips - remember her?)

I remember before Holly got the job, a lot of people thought it would be Davina McCall, then Philip blocked her and insisted on Holly - the suggestion was that he wanted a much younger woman to feel superior to.

I’ve even read an article about the lovely Emma Forbes who was heavily touted for it, ITV bigwigs practically told her the job was hers then she was binned for being “too posh” - her words! I do like Emma and think they’d have been a great combo but clearly Holly was brought in for the young mums at home with kids crowd.

Amanda Holden seems to have had beef with the show as well. They all want it!

Eamon Holmes nice? Have you not seen any episodes of TM previously when he and Ruth were presenting? The way he spoke to her and talked over her was horrible.

Not Judy anymore, she totally lost her nerve for live TV and became uncomfortable to watch.

That show will end up with Alyson and Rylan hosting it, which is the most incredible dumbing down but seem to be what ITV audiences want. I sound too invested but I really haven’t watched since Fern left (and my life got busier!) so I don’t know much about Holly as a presenter other than she always looks so simpering and like she might not have two brain cells to rub together.

Not the biggest fan on EH but him and Ruth were thrown under a bus by ITV for daring to speak the truth about their golden groomer so I don’t blame them for now having their say.

Shame on the enablers at ITV who turned a blind eye to PS and his predatory behaviour and joined on the chorus of ‘hes so brave’ cheers when he was dragged screaming out of the closet when his sordid affair was due to be made public

@JulieHoney an easy way to remember which is which is that they almost always (when presenting/photoshoots/red carpet) stand with Ant on the left and Dec on the right - literally “Ant and Dec” as you look at them.

Put them into Google images and you’ll see what I mean!

I don't really watch TM but most of the presenters past and present seem a smarmy vacuous bunch but I guess the show's format encourages that approach. Holding Eammon Holmes up as some wonderful example of good presenting and decency is laughable. He's a twat, a GB News twat at that...which is worse.

I remember when Fern had had time off to do one of her Charity bike rides and they linked up everyday to see how she was doing.
It was the end of the ride and Phil said he was looking forward to seeing her back at work the week after.
It was December... Fern replied something like 'Oh no I'm going to have an extended holiday with family. I'll see you in January'

I've never been a fan of Phillip but neither have I been a hater . Many in the industry have said there are so many others in the same industry who believe in their own power too , are obnoxious , rude etc. He seems to be getting all the flack when he isn't the only one .

Let's face it none of these presenters are what can in any way be called "normal" people are they ?

They all have massive egos and want to push themselves forward at every opportunity .

This whole thing is ridiculous. Phillip Schofield has rightly, imo, lost his job. However the witch hunt and the way it’s dominated the news stories is completely out of all proportion

The most sensible thing I've read in this whole debacle. I believe it's right that Schofield stepped down because he didn't report his brother to the police, can only assume the reason it's dominated the news is because they're not allowed to talk about the rumours. But the whole witch hunt is really unpleasant.

Im no big fan of Holmes and his questioning of a rape survivor over the subject of a taxi was vile

So was the way Schofield interviewed the survivors of Jimmy Saviles abuse "why are you coming forward now" Yet there seems to be a collective amnesia about this. THIS is why i have no time for Schofield Because of the way he treated these brave women.
