He’s had a lot to say this morning, probably things, he, and many others, have wanted to say for a long time, very interesting. He and Ruth seem to be v well
liked and respected in the industry and are good, decent people.
It seems karma is working it’s magic, which is so rare with workplace bullies and arseholes, I’m so here for it. May the decent people prevail!

I don’t like either Phil or Eamonn. I don’t see why women should have to take the fall for unpleasant men. To make some equivalence between HW and PS is vile.

He didn't run to a rag. The rag printed a story based on what he said on his show today.

He's right about Phil. "I agreed to leave immediately" suggests they told him to leave and he accepted there was no point in putting up a fight.

He's right that Holly no longer wanted him there, but she's right that the sofa won't be the same, because it never is when someone hosts with somebody new.

Her husbands an ITV producer, isn't he? So she'd always be favoured over Phil.

Not a fan of Eamonn - the best thing about him is is wife. I very much like Ruth and would like to see her present TM, ideally with Fern Britton (but I doubt she'd touch that job with a barge pole now), so maybe with Rylan or Alison.
It's very telling that no celebrities are coming out in PS defence. Just seen Jeremy Vine try to cover this story while not alluding to any of the rumours surrounding staff on TM.

I suspect HW isn't all sweetness and light either - I'd be interested to hear what staff on the show really think. But I'm glad she's managed to oust PS. I'm enjoying the irony of him being screwed over by someone he considered to be a friend. Would love Fern Britton's take on this!

But yeah Eamonn has also become a bitter old man.

Eamonn Holmes interviewed a young woman who’d been raped, once on This Morning. During that interview he asked her why she’d not gone home in a taxi. That’s outrageous.

He’s an absolute idiot, a complete misogynist and needs to let the past be the past. He has no god given right to still be on any show. No one does.

Yes I remember him upsetting people when he called someone (a singer?) a retard and when he suggested a rape survivor should have used a taxi.

This whole thing is ridiculous. Phillip Schofield has rightly, imo, lost his job. However the witch hunt and the way it’s dominated the news stories is completely out of all proportion.

Might shock you but you can dislike Eamonn Holmes without being a Philip Schofield fan. I haven't watch TM since Richard and Judy days and to be honest I think it would have been better with Judy presenting without him.

Maybe we should be aiming for all female presenters?

I think ITV's biggest problem has always been the fact that they had such a limited rosta of presenters.

There was Phil and Holly, and Ant and Dec. And that was literally it. Therefore, all of them were shoved down the publics throats, whether you liked them or not. So when the going got bad, the channel has had no one to fall back on.

If you're going to be the public face of a channel, then you have to take the bad with the good. Of the four of them, I think Declan Donnelly is the only one who's never been caught up in a scandal?

Scholfield has apparently taken out a gagging order and was paying a PR firm thousands a week purely to keep his image clean.

Yet people still believe he is innocent and a wonderfully kind man and insisting we dont know him at all (despite them also only knowing his tv persona, yet insist they know Eamom etc to be nasty bullies)

It's not though is it. Holly was an enabler, happy to go along with Phil as he basically gave her the job.

She did the same to Fern Cotton and Peter Jones.
Now being all pally with Alison as it suits her agenda. Alison has been on T. M for years and Holly was never interested.

She knows Alison is well liked by the staff and and will use her for this.

They won't pair her with a good presenter, Alison is a good fit as she's less experienced and will make Holly look good.

She's a fair weathered friend who will back stab to get to the top.

I saw him having a rant this morning, I’ve got to admit it was fascinating I couldn’t look away. Not sure if he was allowed to say everything he did but certainly got it off his chest.

I'm most definitely not a Philip Schofield fan. I've no idea what he's like personally. I imagine he might be a little conceited. However, this is all starting to feel like a witch hunt now. This level of public humiliation and bullying is making me feel extremely uncomfortable.
Very few people are purely good or bad. People are complicated yet everyone is very publically sticking the boot in now.
