He’s had a lot to say this morning, probably things, he, and many others, have wanted to say for a long time, very interesting. He and Ruth seem to be v well
liked and respected in the industry and are good, decent people.
It seems karma is working it’s magic, which is so rare with workplace bullies and arseholes, I’m so here for it. May the decent people prevail!

Crikey!!

JulieHoney · 22/05/2023 09:31

I just saw a clip on Twitter of him saying Holly used Philip when she had no skills and stabbed him in the back now, and that his phone is full of messages from people delighted to see the back of the pair of them.

bellac11 · 22/05/2023 09:32

Is she not continuing to host the show then?

JulieHoney · 22/05/2023 09:33

No, that was announced on the weekend

Xrays · 22/05/2023 09:33

I think they should get Ruth and Eamonn back on This Morning, at least for some of the days. I think they present really well.

Xrays · 22/05/2023 09:34

Holly? She’s having a 2 week break apparently, unless things have changed since I heard that.

TheFairyCaravan · 22/05/2023 09:34

I’m not a fan of Phillip Schofield in anyway shape or form but Eamonn Holmes is a very bitter man. He, quite frankly, needs to sit down, shut up and pay the hundreds of thousands of pounds he owes in taxes, imo.

Abitofquietinthemorningplease · 22/05/2023 09:35

Ruth & Eamonn were fantastic, also Rylan too, apparently staff all said those were great times with a positive, enjoyable atmosphere etc

Can't stand Eamonn or Ruth for that matter so I wouldn't be interested in what he thinks. He always seems so full of his own importance and she isn't far behind.

thebellagio · 22/05/2023 09:37

What I've found so odd is that for literally years, so many high profile names have publicly come out slating Schofield - Ruth & Eamon, Rylan, Fern Britton, Amanda Holden, yet ITV still continued to push him as their main presenter while all of them lost their jobs for daring to speak out.

potniatheron · 22/05/2023 09:37

Eamonn really strikes me as an honest bloke who does not want to be two-faced. He didn't pretend to like the dreadful Anthea Turner either

Not everyone's style to be that open with one's opinions but fair play to him

I hear he can be a bit grumpy but is always reasonable, fair and easy to work with as in you know what you're getting. No back-stabbing.

Abitofquietinthemorningplease · 22/05/2023 09:37

@TheFairyCaravan He admitted he’s bitter about it all, and I would be too! I think it’s fair enough he was bitter, it must have been so frustrating for all the decent ones who actually tried to get things to change and put in complaints etc.
He has his faults, as we all do, but by all
accounts, seems to be a very well liked and decent person in the industry

Glad I'm not alone. I don't understand what people like about him.

You don't think running to a rag newspaper to bitch about someone is mean girl behaviour?

Lovely if his colleagues like him but I'm not a colleague I'm a viewer and can't stand him.

bellac11 · 22/05/2023 09:39

What have people publicly said about PS over the years, I wasnt aware of this, I think I remember the thing about Fern Britton being dumped and her feeling that was down to him, I loved her on this morning, I stopped watching after she left

EvilElsa · 22/05/2023 09:42

I'm no PS or HW fan at all (never watched this morning) but Eamonn comes across as really bitter and aggressive. He's been banging on about the whole thing for days -it's only some bloke getting sacked from a TV show, hardly world changing news that needs constant commentary. Bit like Piers Morgan with Meghan. Borderline obsession. I'm sure that there is truth behind what he says, but the gloating via every platform available us bizarre

Sceptre86 · 22/05/2023 09:43

Eamonn isn't a lovely bloke himself. He may be good at his job but he's a misogynistic arse and used to speak over Ruth all the time. He's got a very big ego himself and with Philip Schofield and him it was just a battle of egos. Ruth herself made a quip about being replaced by non journalists/reality TV stars and that she and Eamonn had to work their way up, she only backtracked when people pointed out her beloved Rylan got into TV after coming from reality TV. Eamonn just comes across as a bitter man. My point is that neither of them come across very well!
