To not applaud Emma Willis for putting her children through hell?

I don't understand how these people can be absolutely celebrated for putting their own children through something so awful.

Does anyone else understand where I'm coming from?

I have always put my child first and I don't get the adoration they're getting?

I left someone who was addicted in order to put my child first.

Urghh I hate all this addiction is a disease rubbish. It starts with a conscious choice. If that continues you can become addicted to the chemical effects. Dont see how it can be compared to a medical illness or disease.

Many illnesses are connected to conscious choices including obesity, heart disease, hypertensio, diabetes type 2, cancers.

Many, many diseases could be prevented by choices in life that people make. It doesn't mean that it isn't a disease when those choices make them sick. Modificable risk factors are the biggest risk in many illnesses and diseases.

And there is zero evidence she has put her children though hell. That is OP projecting her own guilt about what she put her own kids though it seems.

There is so much projection from the OP she could open her own cinema

Op I do get where you are coming from. The addiction / will he slip up again / hurt he has done to Emma and presumably by taking stuff damage to the kids' childhoods as well has all taken up a lot of space in their marriage.

I get the feeling Emma wanted matt to do the documentary to hold a mirror up to the effects of addiction in the hope he doesn't slip up during the reunion tour. But frankly, in her shoes, I don't think I could spend the rest of my life tip toe ing around someone else like this, life is too short.

Also I completely understand the viewpoint that this situation is only seen as sad, emotional and acceptable because they have money and therefore he isn't seen as a dirty drug addict.

You’re utterly blinded by your own situation, and are failing to see that if ever were situations nuanced, it’s situations like this.

It's all well and good saying she should have left. I have known many cases where the courts have known about substance abuse and still awarded 50:50 custody.

Sometimes the safest thing a parent can do is make sure they are there to protect their child at all times and not leave their child's life in the hands of the court and cafcas.

I can’t get iplayer (live abroad) do you know if there’s anywhere else I can see this?

You need a VPN on your device, then choose a UK connection and iPlayer etc will all work.
