To wonder how a biological male has won a women's cycling race?

Seriously why are the sporting organisations so slow to stop biological men from entering the world of women's sport that they so predictably end up winning and stealing titles and opportunities from biological women.

The mind boggles in rage.

It's shit. Talk about it to people in every day life. It's the only way to make it stop.

GreenWheat · 02/05/2023 06:47

I identify as a ten year old boy. Please can I play on their football team and mow over the opposition with my larger size and greater strength?

Does anyone know the name of the actual winner?

Austin Killips

@houseselling I think @IcakethereforeIam meant the rightful (female) winner

gerbilcrocus · 02/05/2023 07:09

Interesting how the overwhelming majority of posts here are against transgender men competing in women's sport.... Such unanimity is rare in AIBU! It seems the wheels are falling off the trans bandwagon.

Marcelo Prieto is the real winner.

Yes, you can definitely see him pick his bike up and walk across the track and bash the woman with his bike. He picks it up and pushes both arms out and anyone (PP) claiming it's a trivial accident isn't living in reality.

houseselling · 02/05/2023 07:34

Sorry missed that.

Well done to the rightful winner, I can't imagine how sick to her stomach she must feel after falling victim to daylight robery.

Interesting how trans women are a relatively small part of society and yet there are a decent and growing number involved in competitive sport. Hmmmm.

So if you want to alienate people like me with the TERF prejudicess, and destroy my sympathy for your viewpoint, crack on. You're doing a grand job of losing my support.

///
You advocate for mediocre men to lie and cheat to steal womens places. That's your viewpoint. That it's ok for real women to lose out to pretend ones.

TeenDivided · 02/05/2023 07:56

I looked at the video expecting it to be a moot point as to who was at fault, but the shove is just so obvious, there is no way imo that someone can truthfully argue it as a slip / accident.

He uttered the magic word & became a member of the most oppressed group ever/brave & stunning/better version of woman than us boring old fashioned ones.

😀👍

3 cycloXrs here, we all think watched video & thought nothing of it. DH pointed out that it was the duty of (onus on) the rider behind not to try to slip thru a non-existent gap or try to push past unsafely, and you can't tell from the angle what was the best line that AK would try to take (which rider behind would see well and should respect). At worst, AK showed poor awareness of another rider trying to overtake. Which happens all the flipping time in CycloX.

My gut feeling is to would prefer biological males not be in same competitive category as biological females, too.

I disagree that AK is built that strongly, pretty weedy imo, actually.

You all undermine your case (about desirability of compatible biology of the competitors) by making up claims about aggression (it wasn't an aggressive move) or making out AK is wildly more muscly than others in the race (she isn't) or making out that AK is dominating the sport (she isn't).

So if you want to alienate people like me with the TERF prejudicess, and destroy my sympathy for your viewpoint, crack on. You're doing a grand job of losing my support.

If you need women to be kind to you in order to convince you that men shouldn’t be in women’s sport, I’d suggest that’s your issue. Diss men have to be extra nice to you as well for you to agree they should have the right to cheat? I doubt it.

snitzelvoncrumb · 02/05/2023 08:34

Unfortunately this is going to be the end of women being able to compete professionally in sport. Once it no longer exists maybe it will change.

Male101 · 02/05/2023 08:52

It's hard to know what the solution is to resolving this without impacting woman further.

Quite simply biological males, biological females and other. Job done.

It's not that bloody hard, we don't need to go back to inspecting genitals, a simple blood test will show XX or XY chromosomes.

Male bodies have no place in female sport. Simples!

QuintanaRoo · 02/05/2023 08:56

I meant for three different categories for sports

No males (I.e born with a penis) to be allowed to compete in women's sports. It's not hard.

YouSetTheTone · 02/05/2023 08:58

He should fuck off out of the women’s category. Wearing an earring and a bit of eyeliner doesn’t make this cheating Arsehole a woman.

On the plus side my already-peaked son also thought this was incredibly unfair and isn’t afraid to say so.

Cycling bodies need to get a grip and sort this out before women’s cycling disappears.

Two is quite sufficient Open and female.
Which is what i think swimming have said they are going to do with.

Male101 · 02/05/2023 09:04

@QuintanaRoo @PSNonsense @Sugarfree23

I meant it difficult to know what to do to get the rules changed to biological womans only and biological men only.

Boycotting would be detrimental to the athletes who have dedicated their lives to competing.

No it’s not, just don’t let men into women’s sport, easy.
