To wonder how a biological male has won a women's cycling race?

Seriously why are the sporting organisations so slow to stop biological men from entering the world of women's sport that they so predictably end up winning and stealing titles and opportunities from biological women.

The mind boggles in rage.

Funnily enough, amongst my 15 year olds generation, they do already seem to think this is bullshit. But then they're right in the thick of it, with classmates identifying as trees, cats and dogs, so they can see just how ridiculous this ideology is now

This is true for my 15yo too.. He's just trying to get through his GCSEs playing the pronoun dance and hoping he doesn't take a misstep and land on a social landmine. But he has no truck with this gender theology.

He quite clearly still has a penis.

Even if he didn't he's still a male.

Castration doesn't change the fact that trans women are male and retain physical advantage over women.

itsmylife7 · 01/05/2023 18:42

It's getting a lot of sunshine amongst my adult son and his friends. Also the deranged man that's told us women to try and stop him going in the ladies toilets (USA) he's gonna shoot us if need be.

To wonder how a biological male has won a women's cycling race?

Pretty easily:

  • He has higher muscle mass than women.
  • Higher bone density.
  • More twitch muscle fibres.
  • More red blood cells giving higher blood oxygen.
  • His pelvis is at a slightly different angle meaning he transfers energy more efficiently.
FourTeaFallOut · 01/05/2023 18:55

And much larger lungs.

ShowUs · 01/05/2023 18:56

I wonder if I claim to identify as disabled they’ll let me compete in the Paralympics 🤔

It doesn’t matter if I’ll have a massive advantage over everyone else that’s playing and I would be offended and complain if I’m not allowed.

Yes my 15yr old too. I think long term this extreme gender ideology or whatever you call it will actually set back rights for LBTQ and people will become sick of the lot of them, which is extremely unfair. Its already set back woman's rights, but hey who cares about them 🙄I'm probably not allowed use the word "woman" anyhow without causing offence

ThingsthatgoBumpintheDay · 01/05/2023 18:57

YANBU. The world is a joke & women’s rights are slowly being revoked by men. As per usual.

RosaBonheur · 01/05/2023 19:01

If the whole "having a penis" thing wasn't proof enough, we would know he was a man because he is allowed to do this. Male privilege writ large.

FoolsOld · 01/05/2023 19:02

Hang on...this is on AIBU?? And no one has demanded that we go back in our corner yet?! Where's the 'be kind' brigade?? Could it possibly be that despite repeating the TWAW mantra, that you don't truly believe it? And in fact there are situations where you acknowledge that biological sex matters?

switswooo · 01/05/2023 19:03

The great peakening is under way.

Igmum · 01/05/2023 19:10

YADNBU. Cheating pure and simple - and from the photo of the finish line he is miles ahead of the next fastest competitor. WTF is World Cycling and whatever the US cycling Organisation called - doing?

3BSHKATS · 01/05/2023 19:13

Women need to refuse to compete in these races, they don't stand a chance of winning, there's a real danger of them getting injured and they should refuse to participate if anyone with a penis is racing.

But then they risk losing their sponsorships and income streams. It's horrendously unfair to place the burden of it on the female competitors when it's the sporting bodies that need to step up to prevent it happening in the first place.

NeverTrustAPoliceman · 01/05/2023 19:18

I am bloody pissed off with pretend women.

It'll only take a couple of boycotts for the message to sink in, the organisers will lose more money than the competitors. I wonder if the sponsors would stand by the female competitors, if not why not ?

HRTQueen · 01/05/2023 19:23

Male entitlement

its strange that so many still hold onto this when they tell us they are now a women and want to be treated as one 🙄

lljkk · 01/05/2023 20:04

AK is not winning most races entered against females.
Did well (when at the younger end of the age bracket) in 2019, but mostly fading as gets older.

The bumping into another rider (on video) was a slip not malicious.
and yes stumbles & contact happen pretty often in Cyclo-X.
Just out of curiousity, how many of you have ever competed in a cyclo-X race?

I recommend Don't watch BMX if you can't handle seeing contact in a cycle race.

mrsfeatherbottom · 01/05/2023 20:05

My 15 year old DD shared this reel with me (hope the link works):

AK shouldn't be winning ANY races against women. How is that so hard to understand?

MangoSplit · 01/05/2023 20:06

YANBU. This is not fair.

PinkiOcelot · 01/05/2023 20:07

Ah so you think it is OK for a male to enter a female category if he doesn't win every time?

Why is that?
