To wonder how a biological male has won a women's cycling race?

Seriously why are the sporting organisations so slow to stop biological men from entering the world of women's sport that they so predictably end up winning and stealing titles and opportunities from biological women.

The mind boggles in rage.

The word biological isn't needed here.

CampervanKween · 01/05/2023 17:43

YANBU. Shows how little they care about women's sports. Imagine if this was affecting men's sports, would have been sorted immediately.

Jellycats4life · 01/05/2023 17:44

All the usual platitudes…

But there add so few of them (who cares? Women are still missing out on trophies and prize money!)

The most oppressed people in society (white males? Are you sure?)

And so on.

The sporting bodies who don’t have the guts to say no should hang their heads in shame.

OneFrenchEgg · 01/05/2023 18:05

It's utter madness we've reached this point. No putting the genie back in now.

Whatsnewpussyhat · 01/05/2023 18:06

Because he's a cheating man who's fantasy has been allowed to override female reality.
Full on male privilege and entitlement.

Bet he got a large dose of 'gender euphoria' beating all the actual women.

Still fucking baffles me that some women actually go along with misogynistic bullshit.

Fizbosshoes · 01/05/2023 18:10

YADNBU

TUCKINGFYP0 · 01/05/2023 18:16

I read an explanation of why this is Ok and totally not unfair or cheating. I think it was something to do with feelz and dangly earrings .

VaddaABeetch · 01/05/2023 18:18

He uttered the magic word & became a member of the most oppressed group ever/brave & stunning/better version of woman than us boring old fashioned ones.

2nd · 01/05/2023 18:18

Cheating isn't winning

Missingmyusername · 01/05/2023 18:19

Utterly ridiculous.

lifeturnsonadime · 01/05/2023 18:20

It's insane.

But this is the world we now live in. It's transphobic to point out the clear unfairness of males winning women's prizes.

And in other news today a lesbian KC has been deplatformed from speaking at the Edinburgh fringe festival because women can no longer speak about issues that impact us freely without being told it's transphobic.

Cheating fucker.

And the amount of women willing to chuck other women under the bus in the name of 'inclusivity' and the guise of 'being kind' is achingly depressing. Why have men's need for validation overtaken all common sense?

Misogyny in plain sight.

TidyDancer · 01/05/2023 18:22

My hope is that every time something this batshit crazy happens, a bit more light gets shined onto the ideology as a whole and another person wakes up. It is so sad that women are missing out on recognition and prize money in the meantime however.

To this day I have never understood how we got this far to begin with though. How can any intelligent person (or unintelligent person, frankly) not see how wrong it is?

FourTeaFallOut · 01/05/2023 18:23

It's all over the fucking place in cycling. I mean, cheating in cycling has a long tradition, but this is a bloody farce.

guiling · 01/05/2023 18:25

Just ridiculous. How can anyone argue for this being right?

FourTeaFallOut · 01/05/2023 18:29

See also Cara Dixon at the Dirty Reiver event this week, for more brave and stunning cheating.

Choconut · 01/05/2023 18:29

Awful, just awful.

Yeah, this.

He's a cheat and a thief, he stole the win and the prize from a woman because his special feelings are more important than anything women want, need or deserve.

cosmiccosmos · 01/05/2023 18:33

What is additionally awful are the videos of him using his bike to push other women off theirs and stop them during a race. Why had he not been fined/disqualified.

How additionally disgusting is that his team manager is a woman.

I agree with you. The more this happens, you'd hope that others (such as my eldest children) might start thinking perhaps we have a point after all.

Funnily enough, amongst my 15 year olds generation, they do already seem to think this is bullshit. But then they're right in the thick of it, with classmates identifying as trees, cats and dogs, so they can see just how ridiculous this ideology is now.

TrashyPanda · 01/05/2023 18:34

This is why SEX MATTERS

sex is immutable

gender is not reality - it is a concept

VeryUninspired · 01/05/2023 18:35

Cheated 🤷🏻‍♀️

IloveJudgeJudy · 01/05/2023 18:35

He quite clearly still has a penis.

This unsporting behaviour should surely warrant DQ regardless of the gender of either competitor. If another woman had tried the same thing they should be DQ, something tells me he might not have attempted it with male cyclists but wouldn't have been in danger of winning against them anyway
