To wonder how a biological male has won a women's cycling race?

Seriously why are the sporting organisations so slow to stop biological men from entering the world of women's sport that they so predictably end up winning and stealing titles and opportunities from biological women.

The mind boggles in rage.

AK is not winning most races entered against females.
Did well (when at the younger end of the age bracket) in 2019, but mostly fading as gets older.

The bumping into another rider (on video) was a slip not malicious.
and yes stumbles & contact happen pretty often in Cyclo-X.
Just out of curiousity, how many of you have ever competed in a cyclo-X race?

I recommend Don't watch BMX if you can't handle seeing contact in a cycle race.

He's built like a brick shit house. Even accidental contact is a problem

...and debatable whether it was accidental anyway....

AK shouldn't be winning ANY races against women. How is that so hard to understand?

AK shouldn't be entering any races in a women's category.

Isn't this a road race, not BMX?

Remember ladies be nice and kind and let us not complain when men who can’t win their own categories want to identify as women and win ours… 🤬

I have spent many many hours watching X races. I have helped marshal X races. (Not voluntarily - I am not good at saying no!) I have seen a lot of slips and a lot of stumbles. I have never seen a “slip” like that. It just doesn’t work as a “slip” as far as gravity is concerned.

UCI making a mockery of women’s sports. Pricks.

BoobyDazzler · 01/05/2023 20:44

Men, however they identify, have no place in women’s sports, toilets, wards, groups or changing rooms. They are cheaters and bullies.

Thankfully the uk seems to be waking up to what absolute bollocks it is(literally!) and even the most TWAW people I know are now seeing the light.

TWAM.

BMW6 · 01/05/2023 20:46

I would happily buy a medal to present to the actual woman who won.

Perhaps at the ceremony the real women could step to the side away from the cheating man and have separate medals presented. We could just ignore the cheat.

mauveiscurious · 01/05/2023 20:46

Another mediocre male

Charliebrow · 01/05/2023 20:53

YANBU. It’s upsetting and demeaning that people view women’s sport as so unimportant that they think this is acceptable

AmyandPhilipfan · 01/05/2023 21:12

That 'slip' definitely looks malicious to me. He turned his head to see where his competitor was then walked a couple of steps to be where he needed to be to shove his bike into her.

Deathbyfluffy · 01/05/2023 21:12

I’m a man, and I think this is ridiculous.

I’ll happily admit that I think sometimes people do need to be kind regardless of gender (said it on here enough times) but a male competing against women in a women’s sport is insanity.
It’s just not justifiable - men have a clear advantage in many areas that make this so unfair!

DOBARDAN · 01/05/2023 21:15

Something drastic has to happen to prevent further cheating by men who enter women's sports, at any level. If nobody will enforce biologically sexed categories for competing, then women should refuse to compete when men invade their races or sport. It will be tough, money and sponsoring may be lost, tears will flow, feet will be stamped, but ultimately this unfairness and dangerous trend has to stop.

lljkk · 01/05/2023 21:15

3 cycloXrs here, we all think watched video & thought nothing of it. DH pointed out that it was the duty of (onus on) the rider behind not to try to slip thru a non-existent gap or try to push past unsafely, and you can't tell from the angle what was the best line that AK would try to take (which rider behind would see well and should respect). At worst, AK showed poor awareness of another rider trying to overtake. Which happens all the flipping time in CycloX.

My gut feeling is to would prefer biological males not be in same competitive category as biological females, too.

I disagree that AK is built that strongly, pretty weedy imo, actually.

You all undermine your case (about desirability of compatible biology of the competitors) by making up claims about aggression (it wasn't an aggressive move) or making out AK is wildly more muscly than others in the race (she isn't) or making out that AK is dominating the sport (she isn't).

So if you want to alienate people like me with the TERF prejudicess, and destroy my sympathy for your viewpoint, crack on. You're doing a grand job of losing my support.

FourTeaFallOut · 01/05/2023 21:15

No, I have no truck with kindness now. It's been weaponised. I'm sticking with fair, honorable and truthful.

SilentHedges · 01/05/2023 21:18

Whatsnewpussyhat · 01/05/2023 18:06

Because he's a cheating man who's fantasy has been allowed to override female reality.
Full on male privilege and entitlement.

Bet he got a large dose of 'gender euphoria' beating all the actual women.

Still fucking baffles me that some women actually go along with misogynistic bullshit.

Because #bekind has been drummed into women, and they don't seem to realise it really means #womenshutup

It blows my mind too that women defend this shit.

sarahzbaker · 01/05/2023 21:20

They are men and they are cheats. And, being men, they hope to overbear us. Ahhh they are just fuckin women. We will moan loudly and fuck the weak women up
How long have we struggled?? And they don't even get rid of the appendages Pr.ks

TheMarzipanDildo · 01/05/2023 21:20

FoolsOld · 01/05/2023 19:02

Hang on...this is on AIBU?? And no one has demanded that we go back in our corner yet?! Where's the 'be kind' brigade?? Could it possibly be that despite repeating the TWAW mantra, that you don't truly believe it? And in fact there are situations where you acknowledge that biological sex matters?

About 3 Twitter loons think this is OK.

SequinDiscoBiscuits · 01/05/2023 21:22

I always wonder how these trans"women" reconcile the "win" in their minds. Sitting at home afterwards basking in the afterglow of "winning" what is tantamount to a one horse race.
They're not only cheating themselves, but all the women who have grafted their backsides off and made sacrifices for years to compete at that level. They should be ashamed quite frankly.

lifeturnsonadime · 01/05/2023 21:32

How was it NOT an aggressive move. AK pushed the other competetor uphill towards the barrier?

As for dominating, well AK won today, but you are massively missing the point. Any man who uses 'gender' to cheat at women's sport is doing that even if they do not win. They are displacing women. Women's sports is not a free for all.

lifeturnsonadime · 01/05/2023 21:35

I’ll happily admit that I think sometimes people do need to be kind regardless of gender (said it on here enough times) but a male competing against women in a women’s sport is insanity.

Sorry but 'being kind' is exactly how this insanity happened in the first place.

Along with mutilated kids and rapists in women's prisons.

I'm done with 'being kind'. Men are not women and can never be women. We are not a feeling in a man's head we are entire humans who deserve rights and respect as a sex class.

To wonder how a biological male has won a women's cycling race?

Pretty easily:

  • No periods to worry about
  • No breaks in training due to pregnancy
SwingandaPrayer · 01/05/2023 21:44

YANBU. I've been kind up til very recently but frankly I've had enough. This has to stop.
