'Queen' Camilla

I wouldn't have called myself a republican before now but I think the 'Queen' Camilla thing has tipped me over the edge.

Pretty audacious considering their history and I think a lot of the public won't agree. I certainly won't be celebrating or even watching coronation.

The tampon conversation should never have been exposed. That’s a private conversation with in-jokes which even a Prince is entitled to have.

No I don’t think he was good friends with Jimmy Saville. Then again you think it’s fine to take the word of a nonce on marriage so I think you’re being a bit hypocritical yourself

Prince Charles was not ‘good friends’ with Jimmy Saville. He may have moved in the same circles because of charity work, but to suggest they had cosy chats, nights out and perhaps overnight stays (which is what good friends do), is fucking ridiculous 😂.

Really? A quick Google search tells me these three things.

Prince Charles constantly asked Jimmy Saville for advice, and Charles called him a trusted advisor.

Prince Charles asked Jimmy Saville to interview his private secretary (Christopher airy) for him. He trusted Jimmy Saville as a good judge of character.

Jimmy Saville had unlimited access to the palaces that Prince Charles used.

Charles and Jimmy were close.

Tbh if people are invested in the royals this might bother them.
Charles being king will have absolutely no bearing on my life whatsoever so I don’t give a flyer about his title or that if his wife. I won’t use either 🤣

Meh can’t get worked up about it. I’m ambivalent about the monarchy but she’s going to be Queen Camilla as every female consist of a King has been Queen Xxxx beforehand. I don’t see the big deal. Even if they stuck with the Queen Consort title , she is still Her Majesty the Queen.
