'Queen' Camilla

Replitad · 04/04/2023 23:12

I wouldn't have called myself a republican before now but I think the 'Queen' Camilla thing has tipped me over the edge.

Pretty audacious considering their history and I think a lot of the public won't agree. I certainly won't be celebrating or even watching coronation.

Charles & Diana were similar ages to her parents when they married so it probably didn't seem that odd to them.

Plus Jane & Robert Fellowes.

Charles is now Head of the C of E. It is clearly at odds with the role of Charles and Camilla as King and Queen.

In what way?

So when Charles dies, and William is King, will Camilla be the Queen Mother?

No because she isn’t the mother of the monarch.

And the only reason the Queen mother was styled that way was because her name was Elizabeth. Would have been odd to have 2 Queen Elizabeth’s!

Mooshamoo · 05/04/2023 14:03

Ugh. I really don't like Camilla.

I remember Diana said once how she didn't understand how she was losing out to a chain smoking, foul mouthed older woman.

Camilla is a fag ash lil.

Source? Doesn’t sound like something she would have said, she was never coarse

I read somewhere she found this historic title from the archives of time to use, as the alternative was Dowager Queen and she thought that made her sound ancient. When I think she was only in her 50s when she was widowed.

I wouldn't touch a home made cake by a cheating skank, old fat tanpon fingers could be so potentially full of lust they would crack one out and not wash their hands and put STIs in the food. That's how I look at cheats, along with wasting taxpayers money.

Have you malfunctioned? Your posts aren’t making sense. You’re just banging on about STIs. Can I suggest trying meditation to help?

Camilla was a woman. Diana was a child in a woman’s body.

Bollocks

Diana was absolutely stunningly beautiful. Charles never was.
Men all over the world thought Diana was stunning.
It's interesting that charles didn't appreciate Diana and seemed to actively dislike Diana isn't it.

Talk about the worst man that Diana could have ended up with.

I remember Michael Jackson said that he met Diana and Charles. Michael said that he thought Diana was breath takingly beautiful, and he thought that she was nice and kind. Michael said he could tell from the meeting that Charles didn't love Diana. He said he thought it was sad.

I do think it is sad that when thousands of men all over the world admired Diana, she was stuck with the one man that didn't care about her. It is sad.

She deserved a man that loved her.

Talk about being blinded by someone’s looks! We get it, Diana was pretty, Camilla is a troll, and that impacts on how some people think.

But when you start taking the word of a nonce to support your views I’m afraid you’ve lost the high ground.

All men think that Diana was a stunner. I remember several male friends saying to me that they thought Diana was absolutely beautiful. And that they thought that Camilla was really ugly.

Even Prince Phillip said it in a letter to Diana! He wrote "I can't understand why Charles would choose Camilla over you".

Looks are not everything. But men definitely thought that Diana was beautiful

Who cares what men think?

If Diana were alive today, men probably wouldn't find her stunning. Does that mean she would be of less value?

IcedPurple · 05/04/2023 14:32

Men all over the world thought Diana was stunning.

That settles it then.

If men fancied Diana and didn't fancy Camilla, then obviously Diana was superior.

Yes, that clears it all up - the male gaze trumps everything else!

😆

Sorry, that's how I look at skanky cheats, grabbing genitals and orgasims at any chance they get, because they can't control themselves and as lacking in general hygiene standards. STIs are why many people don't go at it like rabbits with multiple people, I genuinely think that these people lack a disgut instinct others have to protect themselves. If you are skanky in the bedroom you will be skanky in the kitchen.

TBH if someone cheated on you I’m not sure I can blame them.

TheObstinateHeadstrongGirl · 05/04/2023 15:20

Mooshamoo · 05/04/2023 14:43

I'm not saying that Diana was superior.

I'm saying that , when men all over the world admired and fancied her, I think it is really sad that she ended up with a man that didn't care about her in the slightest. She deserved a happy marriage in her short life with a man that treated her well. And she didn't get it.

Michael Jackson said he only met Charles once , and in that one meeting he could feel the dislike and lack of love that Charles had for Diana.

Men did fancy her and she shagged plenty of them throughout her marriage, even other women’s husbands, so I wouldn’t worry too much about her having male attention

TheObstinateHeadstrongGirl · 05/04/2023 15:26

All men think that Diana was a stunner. I remember several male friends saying to me that they thought Diana was absolutely beautiful.

My DH thinks she was too horsey looking. Not all men tbh k Diana was stunning

And that they thought that Camilla was really ugly.

When then we may as well burn her because there’s nothing worse than an ugly woman

Feemie · 05/04/2023 15:26

It’s somewhere between tragic and hilarious that the opinion of Michael Jackson, that icon of solid common sense, acute judgement, doubt of knowledge on marriage and interpersonal relationships , and all-round wisdom, is being repeatedly leant upon here.

By all men, do you just mean those in your family, friendship circle, and colleagues again? Because if you're going to state things as empirical truths I really think you need to widen your sample size for your results to be credible.

I think a lot of people thought it was shocking that Charles would choose Camilla over Diana. I remember my male friend looking at a picture of Camilla and saying "I just can't see what Charles sees in her, she is absolutely awful"

It just goes to show that looks aren't everything.

Sorry you have friends that peg a woman wholly as awful because he doesn’t fancy her. Yuck!

Did Micheal Jackson write "Dirty Diana" about her extra marital affairs and telephonic stalking of married men? 🤔

Cloud9isnowclosed · 05/04/2023 15:32

@Mooshamoo When did all these conversations with your male friends about Diana/Camilla take place?

I wonder if certain posters would approve of the relationship if Camilla had been the pretty young thing, and Diana the plainer woman the same age as her husband, as is usually the case when high profile men seek an extramarital affair?

St Diana definitely lacked morals and hygiene then. She destroyed several marriages with her affairs.

That word unhinged is being said a lot here about Diana. That is so sad.

As I said, numerous sources have said that In order to rehabilitate Charles image, Charles friends started a media campaign. The main aim of the campaign was to make Diana look mentally unwell, unhinged, paranoid and unstable.

It is because of this media campaign by charles friends, that you now see Diana described as unhinged

Almost the first thing you see people say about Diana on here is that she was paranoid, unstable, unhinged mentally unwell.

That image of her was fed to you by Charles's friends. They sure did a thorough job in shattering her image.

Diana herself kept on about her mental health problems. Bulimia doesn't tend to be encountered in people with good mental health

ACynicalDad · 05/04/2023 15:39

Delighted for her, she seems lovely. It's a lonely job for Charles, I'm pleased he's finally got the woman he loves to share it with.
