Led by donkeys - enough is enough

Bloody hell, I’ve just watched the new “led by donkeys” video. People like Matt Hancock wanting to work for a fake consultancy firm for obscene amounts of cash.

I cannot tell You how angry MPs make me right now.

I have a relative that is an NHS dr on £14 an hour. She pays for her own travel and parking. All her study… she pays for. She is so busy she sometimes doesn’t eat.

then these idiots earn loads, and then claim back loads of expenses. Disgusting in my opinion. They then get second jobs that pay them £10k a day. Without even checking if company is real first.

In my opinion an mp should only take a second job if it’s in the nhs, army etc or a volunteer job for a registered charity. That’s it. No other reason.

I can’t even process this. I’ve had enough. What on earth can we do to change this? And yes I’ll not be voting Tory at the next election. They are a bunch of posh rich boys that want to just look after themselves. Politics should be more diverse. what on earth can we do?

They are all bloody corrupt

thebaneofmylifeisacat · 26/03/2023 18:59

'They wanted their brexit done?'

What does this mean? I voted remain but just wanted it all done if you remember it was utter chaos in Parliament with the ridiculous 'meaningful votes' getting nothing done.

Brexit had to be done as that's the democratic process. It's government by the people. The people voted in free and fair vote. End of. Boris won a huge majority because he said he would get it done. That's why

Besides I don’t think it is helpful to blame those that voted Tory last time. It does not help the future at all. Not does it do anything but anger people that could possibly vote for something else.

its like telling a kid that fell over and broke their arm that it’s their own fault.

not sure anyone could have predicted Covid, parties, I’m a celeb, snogging, Boris lying to this extent, rishi getting in, etc. it’s a soap opera!

I bloody blame those who voted tory last time, i really do. The tories have been self serving bastards since the year dot. Anyone who didn't realise this and voted for them deserves all they get. They get zero sympathy from me, now the COL crisis and brexit is affecting their lives.

thebaneofmylifeisacat · 26/03/2023 19:19

Honestly I think you would find most people think Johnson is now the victim of a witch hunt by those who viserally hate him. He resigned that's enough. He had cake so what! NOT saying this is my view but I bet you it's the vast majority view. Boris like him or loathe him is box office

I am far more interested in knowing why the nhs stopped relatives visiting dying loved ones and why schools kept closing on such ridiculous evidence post the first lock down. (Which I think made sense)

thebaneofmylifeisacat · 26/03/2023 19:22

Ssd

Sorry you are entitled to your opinion but trust me all this 'I hate the Tories snd serve you right bollocks' just turns most adults completely off. It's student politics and rants. Most people have voted for all the main parties very few now are die hard left/right voters. Those days are gone.

NeelyOHara1 · 26/03/2023 19:24

If the majority of people who vote could be persuaded to completely boycott the GE when it comes, surely that would have to be met by an overhaul of the system?

You know perfectly well it's not about whether he had a cake. It's about whether he attended and allowed gathering which were contrary to the rules he was telling the rest of us to obey. Blatantly he did.

You say the evidence was ridiculous, yet we were following practice accepted the world over. Were we really wrong to do so?

And do you think it acceptable that Johnson repeatedly lied to the country and instructed his cabinet and party members to do so on this behalf?

DePfeffoff · 26/03/2023 19:27

The question I found was never answered by the likes of Janiie and Clavinova was: Do you think it's OK that Johnson appointed to a position of power over junior employees and party members a man with a known history as a sex predator? And that he sent junior ministers out to lie for him about it?

But but but Corbyn wore an anorak …..(accompanied by cut and paste article on how much said anorak cost).

They were at work. I really wish folk had footage of him at a private nightclub or even a house party doing a conga at 3am. Anything actually incriminating. It's all so desperately tenuous. They were at work SD where possible which the whole country was doing.

Crikeyalmighty · 26/03/2023 19:31

@thebaneofmylifeisacat Where are you getting this 'most people think Boris is part of a witch-hunt from' ?? Are you Nads!! That's just not the general vibe I'm getting out there from people of all ages and party supporters. My father in law who is 83 and a Tory voter is disgusted at the whole bunch of them- he is particularly disgusted that he was not in parliament for weeks and out on the speaking circuit and thinks he should have been recalled by his constituency

thebaneofmylifeisacat · 26/03/2023 19:36

It wasn't practised the world over Sweden was far more liberal HOWEVER the real important issue is the cost of lockdowns in all areas because we may have another pandemic and we need to handle it better. The world needs to handle it better and quicker.

For me I couldn't give a shiny shite about what Boris did or did not eat or drink. There are far far more important things to be discussed snd investigated.

I guess you haven't looked at any opinion polls.

Oh look. Angela made an appearance.

At least Angela is being honest, which is more than what I can say about any Tory.

thebaneofmylifeisacat · 26/03/2023 19:40

No idea what nads means?

I assume it's a label to shut up people who have a different opinion to you?

I am speaking from my own experience of family and friends who think it's a colossal waste of time and money as he's gone and not coming back!

It's a good smoke screen though to stop debate on the general mania of all parties and the main stream media to control people's lives on very flimsy evidence hence oakshott leaking handcocks diaries.

That's the real thing we should be discussing

Hedjwitch · 26/03/2023 19:42

It's not just the Tories. Try living under the SNP!

You don't care that the Prime Minister, Chancellors and others broke the law while in office? You don't care that the same law made millions of peoples lives miserable?

As a paid up member of the Johnson fan club I am always pleased to be compared to its number one member.
Hmm Johnson's members fan club.

We never did get the results of the Met investigation into the ABBA party so give it time.

thebaneofmylifeisacat · 26/03/2023 19:52

I care very much that the rules made people's lives appalling I can't keep saying the same thing maybe you should read properly.

I don't care Boris had cake I believe him when he said he thought he had kept to the rules. I don't think official photos would have been taken else.

The whole thing shows what a nonsence the rules were snd we should not repeat them. That's why the covid enquiry is far more needed QUICKLY instead. This is a stupid distraction as he's gone.

And no I am not nadine bloody Dorries how fucking funny 😂😂

thebaneofmylifeisacat · 26/03/2023 19:54

If having a slice of cake and a glass of wine is your idea of a party you have led a very sheltered life

If Boris thought the laws were nonsense then he shouldn't have introduced them and then you are prepared to believe him when he says he didn't know what the laws were.

Are there other laws where you think it is an acceptable excuse to just say you believed you weren't breaking them?
