Weird things my body does....

Over the past few weeks I've started using a brush to apply powder to my face after foundation. Before I'd just use the pad that comes with the compact.
For some reason using the brush directly in the middle of my forehead creates a reaction that feels like pins being dragged down my head.
I remembered that I had a similar reaction when I had a facial last year that involves brushing something onto my skin.
Also when I eat anything super minty it makes my ears itch.
Anyone else's body do weird things?

Apologies @OneTC , I misread! I meant the poster who was ranting and raving about how much better Manchester was and how London stinks and we'll all be stabbed if we dare go outside - I can't edit, because no edit function.

Manchester, for the record, has been a grimy, miserable shithole on all the (unfortunately many) visits I've endured there. That doesn't mean I think I know what the entire place and all the people in it are like, because I'm not a complete bellend.

I hiccup after the first sip of a cold, fizzy drink. Any subsequent sips are fine.

Found my weird body twin!

Wilburisagirl · 17/03/2023 21:47

I sometimes feel a little electrical current type thing in my arm right before I bump my elbow. It's almost as if the feeling is my arm being drawn to whatever I'm about to bump it on. Very weird.

I've also experienced the stiff neck after half a drink (but can be any type of alcohol). A few more drinks usually solves that problem.

A loud noise or being startled gives me full body tingling, starting at my head and moving down to my feet. I hate it,

oldwrinklyhands · 17/03/2023 21:49

Smelly belly button when my period is due, and eating Brie makes my sinus' kind of 'open up' as in I can really smell the Brie l'm tasting!

OliveWah · 17/03/2023 21:51

Similarly to @JanesSadLittleLife and @Hallmark1234, when I see someone get hurt, I feel a prickling sensation across my scalp. When I first described it to my Mum as a child, I told her "It feels like I've got nits and they've all suddenly decided to pull my hair for a second!" Weird!

IneedcoffeeinanIV · 17/03/2023 21:54

If I tap my fingers on my cheeks towards my ears, my entire face twitches and spasms. It's wild and I have no idea why it happens

Furrybutts · 17/03/2023 21:56

I get 'fanny flutters' when I watch Dr Pimple Popper or similar videos Blush
No idea what that is about.

Also feel like I am going to vomit if I see anyone brushing their teeth, or I can smell toothpaste on their breath.

Stumbleine · 17/03/2023 21:59

Sometimes if a dog gets too close to my face (or occasionally even a person) I get a weird tingling sensation on the roof of my mouth like my tongue is twitching involuntarily and tickling it.

If I bang myself eg an elbow, I taste blood in my mouth.

Warriormum1 · 17/03/2023 22:01

I only hiccup if it is ginger beer I am drinking, but not other fizzy drinks. Sometimes when I try to cough it is blocked by a hiccup so I can't cough fully. I also occasionally get a random squirt of saliva when I yawn. I call it a salivary ejaculation! 😂If I eat anything carby, like bread or cakes too early in the morning, I get an excruciating pain in the roof of my mouth and it goes all bumpy when I feel it with my tongue. I can eat carbs at any other time of the day and I don't get this reaction. If I scratch the crook of my left arm I get a tickly throat. I get the stabby knife pain when I am on my period, but not in my bum, I get it in my head. If I turn over onto my left side at night in bed I get a white light flashing in the right side of my head. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who has a strange body.

rainyskylight · 17/03/2023 22:04

If I get too cold in the wind or swim in cold water then my left wrist seizes up in excruciating pain until I warm up again. It’s truly unbearable pain. It means I can’t swim in the sea unless it’s in warmer climes because it gets dangerous.

Imthegingerbreadwoman · 17/03/2023 22:06

If I knock the inside of my nose or blow too hard I get dizzy and a headache

Imthegingerbreadwoman · 17/03/2023 22:06

Also if I pick something freezing cold up my heart races like a panic attack

Tulipvase · 17/03/2023 22:08

I get restless leg syndrome but in my stomach. I always know when I’ll get it and that I won’t be able to sleep that night. I remember as a child having it in assembly and feeling I’d explode if I didn’t move. Was always getting in trouble!

These are funny.
I have an area that when I scratch, I feel elsewhere. I also have a strange reaction when viewing people getting physically hurt. The back of my thighs, just below the buttocks, not exactly spasms but a weird pins & needles sensation.

Oo me too! The skin on the back of my legs ‘crawls’ if any close family are hurt. My teenage son takes great pleasure in arsing about with sharp knives just to see me double up frantically rubbing the back of my thighs…..

Tulipvase · 17/03/2023 22:09

Oh and beautiful music gives me goosebumps.

romany4 · 17/03/2023 22:11

My cheek muscles ache and feel squeaky when I drink pure orange juice.
When I have heartburn, it feels minty in my throat..before I've had any gaviscon..weird!!

NameChange647 · 17/03/2023 22:16

I used to get an itchy forehead when I brushed my teeth it doesn't happen anymore though.

Also I've had oral allergy syndrome for about 20 years and it's all of a sudden just stopped.

WhiskeyInTheJar33 · 17/03/2023 22:17

I start sneezing when I pluck my right eyebrow.

I cannot move my big and middle toes independently. They move together.

Whaaaat????? None of my toes move independently all 5 move together is this not normal 😳

sleepingbuddha · 17/03/2023 22:20

I get instant pins and needles in my right hand when I wee. 😂

DappledThings · 17/03/2023 22:32

Oh yes, I meant to comment on that one. I had no idea anyone could move their toes independently. Can they? I definitely can't.

Blueey · 17/03/2023 22:34

I randomly get a horrible, very sharp pain, like someone is stabbing a big hot needle or skewer into me, in between my shoulder blades (slightly closer to the right one). It last a few seconds and always makes me gasp in a big overly dramatic sounding way and bend my arm round to touch the area, but the reaction is completely involuntary. It'll happen a few times then stop. Sometimes I have a run of them over a few days and then they don't happen again for months.

I wish I knew what it was or if anyone else experienced similar.

I also sneeze with mints, get javelin bum during my period and can bend my thumbs under my knuckles.

Whatafielddayfortheheat · 17/03/2023 22:42

If i eat a really strong/sour orange, I get sweaty above my upper lip.

There's a spot at the top of my head that really hurts if rubbed even gently.

I have a strange hard mass inside the muscle in one of my upper arms. It's always been there so unlikely cancer or anything (I hope!)

SisterBeaverhausen · 17/03/2023 22:43

Sometimes when I'm falling asleep I feel like I'm shrinking. It makes me super nauseous and I have to open my eyes if not I get super dizzy and disoriented.

I get a chesty cough after eating any hot food (as in temperature not spice)
