Weird things my body does....

Over the past few weeks I've started using a brush to apply powder to my face after foundation. Before I'd just use the pad that comes with the compact.
For some reason using the brush directly in the middle of my forehead creates a reaction that feels like pins being dragged down my head.
I remembered that I had a similar reaction when I had a facial last year that involves brushing something onto my skin.
Also when I eat anything super minty it makes my ears itch.
Anyone else's body do weird things?

I get extra toenails on my big toes that grow in from the side. I get eczema very rarely, like once every 2 or 3 years but it always occurs on both sides of the body - like both knees, or both shoulders, and most recently and painfully, both nipples...

I think I posted this on the old thread linked above.

I've got a small scar on the side of my neck where I had a mole removed. If I rub it the corner of my mouth twitches.

Loving all these. So many random things happening.
I've just remembered that sometimes when I eat I eject a stream of saliva from the back of my throat to the front. That one's gross!

It's a mouthgasm. I get it sometimes too.

RemoteControlDoobry · 17/03/2023 22:52

@Warriormum1 i get that pain in the roof of my mouth too, usually in the morning but I don’t think it’s related to carbs. My DS also get it. I’ve had it since being a little girl.

When I have a cold, I get a tiny hole in the roof of my mouth that I can suck air through and it squeaks. It’s too small for anything else to get through!

Once I had a large mole removed and within a few weeks the mole next to it grew to the same size.

daisydot22 · 17/03/2023 22:56

Gives me the shits in certain places. So for example if I'm in a place where I've needed the toilet before, the urge to go will happen again the next time I'm in that place. Definitely associative/psychological. And I have IBS. Always amazes me how strong the gut/brain link is. I only need to think "wow this would be a really bad time/place to need to shit" and lo and behold it happens.

WhatsThatYouveGotThereThenHuh · 17/03/2023 23:02

When I'm hungry, usually first thing in the morning, I have this fizzy/bubbling sensation that feels like it runs up my spine. I always think anyone near me might hear it too, although no one has ever mentioned it. 🥴

AlmostAJillSandwich · 17/03/2023 23:10

I get an overwhelming feeling of nausea before i sneeze, without knowing i needed to sneeze. Happens to my dad too, but both only started this in the past 3 or so years.

SoManyCreepyBears · 17/03/2023 23:15

If someone describes an injury to their hands I get a tightening of my imaginary testicles. It’s a squirmy sensation.

thaegumathteth · 17/03/2023 23:16

If I brush against a part of my very very lower back just lightly it makes me feel like I urgently need a pee.

Dd sneezes when I brush her hair. Apparently there's some nerve that runs somewhere?

When I eat a tuna mayo sandwich I get instant hiccups.

I’m the same with egg mayo butties!!

BlüeöysterCunt · 17/03/2023 23:18

If I eat anything icy cold I cough constantly.

If I get really upset - I mean properly heartbroken - my hands ache.

Drinking certain types of alcohol gives me pains in my arms.

If I touch a certain part of my foot I feel it in my vulva 😬

When I tense up my chest muscles and push my shoulders forward I sometimes get a weird popping sensation in the skin over my collarbone area.

nationallampoons · 17/03/2023 23:20

If I poke my bellybutton I get a sharp pain up my bum

Bearpawk · 17/03/2023 23:25

If I put dark chocolate or mint in my mouth I instantly sneeze

If I press my belly button I can feel it in my vagina

@IfYoureGonnaBreakMyHeart this used to happen to an old boyfriend, even sometimes when he yawned his saliva glands would randomly squirt across the room

notangelinajolie · 17/03/2023 23:30

I get palpitations and heart flutters when I chew the end of my tongue.

When I scratch my left top lip I feel twinges in my left eye.

I get pain in my shoulder when I’m hungry.

ComeTheFckOnBridget · 17/03/2023 23:31

@TheProvincialLady Chase The Itch! I get it too.

Can't everyone bend their thumbs under their knuckles?

Omg, I had this. I had a mole removed from one side of my nose and within a year another identical one grew on the opposite side. Then the original one half grew back. So now I have two. Great. Thanks.

thaegumathteth · 17/03/2023 23:39

@IfYoureGonnaBreakMyHeart @bondsy and others the saliva thing is called gleeking.

@SisterBeaverhausen I get that shrinking feeling very occasionally too when I was a kid I also felt like everything was in slow motion.

BillyDeanisnotmylover · 17/03/2023 23:40

Also, my dad sneezes uncontrollably whenever her enters a bathroom. Any bathroom. Anywhere. Old bathrooms. New bathrooms. Hotel bathrooms.
All within seconds of entering the room. Weird.

Belly button thing……me too. I thought that was normal 🤣

NastyNiff · 17/03/2023 23:56

I don't have anything like this. I feel I am lacking

AlmostAJillSandwich · 17/03/2023 23:58

If i lie still on my back with my eyes shut, i can feel my heartbeat like im being punched and i get motion sick. If i lie on my right side, i can hear and feel my heartbeat/blood rushing in my neck.

Dontsayyouloveme · 18/03/2023 00:04

I get ‘scone teeth’ and ‘creme egg nose’.

scone teeth I think is from the bicarbonate of side or baking powder but it’s make my teeth feel weird, like a feeling of being super clean/squeaky!

Creme egg nose is when I eat a creme egg, the inside of my nose tingles with the sweetness! I get it sometimes with buttercream icing too!

I sometimes pass out when I have a poo

I also have this. It was recently caught twice on a 24 hour heart monitor as sudden bradycardia and I’d never thought to speak to a doctor about it before because I’ve had it since I was a child. I have autonomic dysfunction, so my body does all sorts of strange things anyway and I am very sensitive to anything that affects the vagus nerve. According to the cardiologist, it’s caused by a sudden drop in blood pressure in response to the bowel movement’s effect on the vagus nerve. I have Postural Tachycardia and low blood volume, so I assume that plays a part in my case as well.

There’s no treatment for it and it’s not something they worry about, because it’s self resolving.

It used to frighten me as a child, but I’m used to it after having it for decades now. It tends to be worse if I am, exhausted, under the weather or coming down with a virus. In fact it happened this morning and coincidentally, I’ve been in bed with a virus for a couple of days.

I used to have a big list of bizarre things my body did, but once I was diagnosed, most of them were explained by the autonomic dysfunction.

I can sometimes make my ear drums vibrate if I concentrate enough.
