@User1396390 unless you’re new around here, you’d get it. But it’s water off a duck’s back for Clavinova, she/he will soon swamp the thread with endless quotes till everyone gives up. Their MO.

The nice thing about our dear friend cutnpastova doing it on this thread it just maximises the number of people who see the link to the BBC complaints website. (and some people think I am stupid).

Which particular part do you think is not a fact? Be as specific as you can.

Also
There is no huge influx. We take far fewer refugees than other major European countries.
The second part about how many refugees we take is fact, but the definition of huge influx is open to interpretation and is therefore opinion. Some people might regard the numbers of people arriving by boat as a huge influx.
Gary Lineker has an opinion, to which he is perfectly entitled, but his opinions aren't facts, though his tweets contain some facts.

jgw1 · 11/03/2023 12:05

Neededanewuserhandle · 11/03/2023 11:59

Which tweet are you talking about?
In this one -
This is just an immeasurably cruel policy directed at the most vulnerable people in language that is not dissimilar to that used by Germany in the '30s, and I'm out of order?
Surely any sensible person can see that immeasurably cruel is in the eye of the beholder and therefore an opinion? Are you seriously trying to say that is a "fact"?

I don't think even the Home Secretary would dispute that the policy was cruel, and fact as far as I know she would be pleased that it was.

I am no fan of the Home Sec or the policy and I have never voted Tory, but you are just being ridiculous to claim everything he said in his tweets is "fact".

As I have clearly shown, AI never sleeps, it can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop... ever ....

The number of people refered to is less than used to walk down my street on a Saturday afternoon to the football. I didn't find that a huge influx and I doubt anyone else did either.
This huge influx is a smaller number of people than use Glasgow Central station each day of the year.

Can we assume that you only want pro-Linekar complaints or are people actually free to complain about the bias shown by the BBC in other, less pc, areas? Loving the MN hypocrisy and the bleating about 'free speech', the same people who were in favour of stringing Clarkson up! Before anyone gets on their high horse that isn't support for Clarkson, simply an anti-hypocrisy statement.

That was a rude comment to someone commenting on your thread @jgw1 asking them if they were working overtime

I guess you need to know more to appreciate that comment.

It made me laugh Grin

The huge influx is less than the number of people who visited the road I now live on each month for a day out.

There must be huge influxes all over the place.

Not all complaints get nowhere.

Here is a recent example.

Fiona Bruce was just covering the BBCs ass legally? She wasn't saying ahhh it was just a one off. She was explaining the accusation and the response to the accusation?

But it was incomplete. She said that "Friends said" the assault was a one off. Mrs Johnson said more than once that, unsurprisingly, it wasn't. Surely BBC impartiality should extend to giving her side as well?

I take no view on what you or anyone else might want to complain to the BBC about. If you like you can complain about how there is far too much football reporting on the BBC today. Such that there was talk about football on the Today programme this morning. Shocking.
You complain as you like. You see I unlike the BBC or the government are quite comfortable with freedom of speech.

It's really not my fault you can't distinguish facts from opinions and have chosen to recast opinions you have as facts - but it is a very worrying tendency and every bit as sinister as the complaints GL levels at this government. You have to accept other people's opinions in a democracy with free speech, not claim that your views are the only valid ones and have become "facts".

The thing is Mrs Johnson is a woman and we all know that Boris learnt from Stanley what a woman is and how to treat them. So it is only right that the BBC should note the views of Stanley's friends.

Did you know that But Jeremy Corbyn doesn't know what a woman is?

Your paranoia is showing. You cannot point anywhere to @jgw1or anyone else trying to limit your freedom to complain about anything you want.

That's what the regenerate and learn features are there for.

Somewhere, someone is preparing a certain personovas P45. That's if they ever existed. I mean I know they claimed not to be a bot. But then a bot would, wouldn't they ?
