Peanut butter and other things we get wrong

OK so I really like things like reeses with peanut butter in but when I have bought peanut butter and put it on bread, it's the most claggy, odd sensation and I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but what?

I'm a grown ass adult so should be capable of making a sandwich. Please enlighten me.

Also feel free to add things you need enlightenment on.

As you are in this mental space, please could you make two more sandwiches. One with sandwich spread, one with haslet.

I was crazy about them as a kid. I'd like it confirmed to me as an adult that they really are as disgusting as they look to me now.

Sandwich spread is still amazing on the odd occasion you can get hold of it, they sometimes have it in Tesco.

Haslet is indeed still horrible.

Smooth PB is best, spread thinly on buttered bread with a little bit of jam.

DH likes the Yorkshire brand that comes in a tin (doesn't like any other brand).
I like it on apple slices, yum!

Crunchy on slices of Granny Smith apple. Or in a sandwich with cucumber.
Never tried it with jam or on toast.

A few days ago I had peanut butter on rice cakes with a sliced apple on the side. It went together really well.
