That's medically incorrect.

I agree it's a simple issue if you ignore all the facts that don't suit you and then spend your time screaming about it into some corner of the internet where you've found people as nonsensical as yourself.

My truth comes from what I've been evolutionary designed to observe with my senses. It's a great system - never wrong. I'm equally adept at telling a bitch from a dog. Faultless.

Medically speaking (if you're so inclined), an autopsy table only needs a couple of your bones to tell what you are.

I still see no need for indesputable facts to be debated.

Having said that, speaking against the "truths" of trans-ideology, can at times feel like telling a child that Santa-claus doesn't exist. See, I'm not completely unfeeling, there is a twinge of empathy there.

WC women have the most to lose under a Tory government, yet you would vote for them because Rishi has uttered the words the MC feminists of MN worship. That's not feminism in my world.

Feel free to show me where on this thread I've stated my voting intentions.

Out of interest, what is your background and just how much skin have you ever put in the game for Labour? Because your line of argument is exactly like all the MC lefties in my local party, and that of the men who have been telling women in Labour for decades that race and sex are "not the most important issue right now".

ScrollingLeaves · 04/02/2023 00:26

Here is what Starmer said.
m.youtube.com/watch?v=jfKYpxIDAsw

For something like 99.9 % of woman it is all biological

So what is it for that 0.1 % left over?

That 0.1% left over is a male who identifies as transgender.

He is that man by biology, but woman by gender, who could be housed in a women’s prison, go to a women’s refuge…….and perhaps even be on a Labour “all woman’s ” short list.

I'd hazard a guess I'm more WC than you and know more about WC women and what any government could do for them than Rishi and his lip service to MC feminism could ever do.

L1ttledrummergirl · 04/02/2023 00:27

I don't really think that Mr Starmer or many others actually believe that men have a cervix, do you?

No, that is why I can't vote for my Conservative MP and they are female. I've yet to meet the Labour candidate so I'll reserve judgement.

All I know is that right now the country has been badly let down, we are a developed country who shouldn't need food banks, and warm banks and strikes for the government to increase hospital beds by approx 4 per hospital in the space of a year. It shouldn't be a country where women are afraid to walk alone at night in case a police officer kills them. That's where this and previous governments have brought us and the laws they are bringing in could prevent us from objecting either by protest or by strike.

Self ID is part of this, it's almost a distraction from what they are doing and while it needs to be stopped, that needs to happen in more places than the labour party- sports and sporting regulations are worldwide and those in charge don't know what a woman is, world leaders are unable to answer the question. People are beginning to see now though which is a start.

A woman is a human with two x chromosomes.

Hmm turner syndrome?

So you still will take your chances on Labour over an actual woman on what a woman is? Even after seeing all of the misogyny of the Labour party and what they think of women who dare to speak out for women's rights?

Well that's for you to decide.

I hope it turns out well.

lifeturnsonadime · 04/02/2023 00:35

Just picking up on this. Do you really think that sports don't really know what a woman is? Or, could it be that some males really love to exert power and control over women and determine what a woman is. Even if it means that males will displace women and will, more often than not, win?

Did you by any chance see I replied to you about J K Rowling regarding all she had done to help other people using her money? From what you’d said you hadn’t seemed to realise.

ScrollingLeaves · 04/02/2023 00:56

A woman is an adult human female.
A female is one if two sexes, the other being male, has relatively larger gametes, and can beget young.

L1ttledrummergirl · 04/02/2023 00:56

@lifeturnsonadime You've missed my point- my conservative MP has refused (on several occasions)to answer my question to her- "what is a woman?"
This leads my to believe that like Starmer she doesn't know.

L1ttledrummergirl · 04/02/2023 00:59

Re the sports, of course they are aware, I'll finish the sentence here as I don't fancy a ban.

JKRowling has the luxury of being a millionaire. She has the protection of money. She can pick and choose her causes. And she does.

So you expect nothing more from the incumbent Labour PM?

Interesting, and why is that?

That's not what I said.

And the tide is turning, some sporting orgs are restoring women's sports as they recognise that they exist due to sex, not 'gender'.

See,that's the thing, isn't it.
Your comment implies all women think the same when we all have our own experiences and opinions.
On account of being individuals.

Proudofitbabe · 04/02/2023 01:03

It really is astonishing that we live in a time where the British PM is even asked what a woman is, and then applauded for correctly answering something we all know is so fucking obvious.

Sunak danced around this very question last year, so I just hope the tide is finally turning, or I cannot imagine the dystopia my daughter will inherit.

ilovesooty · 04/02/2023 01:04

However what I did say was that the definition of a woman wasn't particularly high on my list of priorities so what Starmer said about it isn't something that defines my opinion of him alone. I actually think he's a lot more truthful in general than Johnson or the current PM.

It’s true that this misogyny goes across all parties. But I would say that the tories have the best record on it. I’m not a Tory and I don’t like to think that I will have to vote that way but it may be inevitable. Especially after what happened in the Scottish parliament where the tories were the only party to dissent

You know I read the FWR board and i do get some of it, but then they wang on about boycotting Lush or whichever company has pissed them off this week and the love for JK Rowling who is a fucking millionaire and can afford to Tweet and say what she likes and I think you have no clue about WC women and what they need. What they need the government to do for them.

JKRowling has the luxury of being a millionaire. She has the protection of money. She can pick and choose her causes. And she does.

What is that supposed to mean? She cannot take on every cause. Of course she has to pick them. She doesn’t have give money to any cause but does, in great amounts.

If you read what I answered before you’ll have seen that one of the causes she picked was
” the Volant Charitable Trust, which uses its annual budget to combat poverty and social inequality, with a particular emphasis on women and children”
so what you said about her was not really right.

Before she was rich she was a single mother who had to be lent money from a friend to get by and evidently has empathy for others like she was.

I'm sure he did give a straightforward answer and said what he believes. It was a convenient distraction from the other lies he's told anyway.
