DH randomly masturbating

Catladyy · 08/01/2023 18:16

DH decided to cook an early tea for us and DS at DS' tea time (5pm). I thought we should just feed DS, who was already hungry, but DH said he'd do it quickly. 45 mins later, I take an angry baby to the kitchen to find DH has barely started. Later he revealed he'd actually just spent the time masturbating.

It feels like a really odd thing to do with a hungry baby in the next room. If he was that desperate (and out sex life is slow, but not that slow), why he couldn't just let me feed DS and slope off upstairs? Isn't it a bit of a weird urge to indulge at 5pm? But DH say's he's apologised and if I bring it up again, I'm 'shaming' him, which I have no right to do.

AIBU?

I think a lot of these LTB types are unhappy single mothers and want to drag other women down with them.

I suspect a jizz-sock puppet 👀

I think only an really weird person would shoehorn single mothers into this. Bit of an inclement thing to do

Wintercandyapple · 08/01/2023 20:57

I’m not sure I’ve ever met an unhappy single mother, they all seem to be happier and thriving better without a man child in their lives. Not that I know many single mothers, but the ones I do know ALL appear happier single than when married. Bit of a digression. Continue as you were!

That would end the entire relationship for me. How utterly revolting. How you could even speak to him after that is beyond me.

How utterly dramatic

Ages = about 2/3 weeks tbh and every….single….thread posts the most random funny replies obviously to stir people up. It’s pretty funny. He always says how he’s sad being in a sexless marriage (which isn’t funny), but I reckon if he invested his time in being nice to his wife instead of being weird on mumsnet then that may change for him. 😬😚🤪🤪🤪

Crackof · 08/01/2023 21:00

We should definitely be able to shame men who were wanking when they said they'd cook a quick tea for their hungry baby. They should be ashamed.

When you say 'DH randomly masturbating'... is it, say,
as you leave the church on Sunday morning and are bidding the Vicar goodbye?
or
midway through paying the shopping bill at Waitrose?
or
in the division lobby in the House of Commons?
or
shooting (!) at 25 insurgents in Afghanistan?
or
gluing together a broken dog bowl in your kitchen?

A diagram would help.

I think 'random' is one of those words which has got a new informal meaning for millennials/Gen X-ers on social media, and is used as if it was a synonym for 'unexpected' or 'odd'.

I think people who hear a tiny fraction of a relationship and start screaming LTB are weird and unhinged. It does scream of crab mentality to me. Why are you offended? Were you one of the people persuading the OP to be a single mother because her partner had a wank??

Oh well that’s you. All the ones I know say they’re happy they have their kids and a single life. They’re buzzing. I’m almost jealous. They come out the relationship looking years younger and with a sparkle in their eyes. Good for them I say. Never met an unhappy one. Though I know plenty of unhappily married women….

So not a sock puppet then, as expected.

This has got to be a wind-up?! 😂

  1. I never said sock puppet
  2. people can revisit a site to sock puppet so we’ll never know.

Weirdly, there are 1-2 usernames who always seem to come up on every post to defend that poster but never comment at the same time… like he disappears for 5-10 mins while one of them posts, then they next, then he comes back and they both disappear for a while. 😇 could they all be the same person 😅😂

I haven't even replied, only to your weird and bitter comment. What is your problem? Your just coming across very unhinged to shoehorn that in, just reminds me of uncles as I said. @ily0

imagen · 08/01/2023 21:08

Incels! Or a strange man who wanks in the kitchen so is defensive.

Hawkins001 · 08/01/2023 21:10

Holy smokes op

ily0 · 08/01/2023 21:10

Btw I’m not saying all single mothers are unhappy, I’m saying the ones screaming LTB over the most minor things on every thread are probably unhappy single mothers & want other women to be in that situation. It’s not normal to try and persuade a woman to dump their DP over every minor thing.

I made a thread on an old account awhile ago about a disagreement I had with my DP, looking for advice. The amount of unhinged women who were desperate for me to leave my partner over an argument, it was ridiculous. I’d never ask for relationship advice again.

Again I’m not saying all single mothers are unhappy, my Mum was a single Mum my entire life because she was awful in relationships (most likely from Dad issues) and she was happy, I’m talking about the ones begging OP’s to leave their partners over every disagreement.

Hmm. I thought the appropriate thing to do was to say you're going to go take a quick shower... 🤷‍♀️

Exactly. Unless “cooking dinner” (insert winky face) is an euphemism

It’s a bit odd but some of these replies are simply hilarious.

Hardly a relationship ending crime.

It would be for me. It's completely vile. Like most things, there's a time & a place. While making a family tea, and in the kitchen, is not it.
