To ask what age you stopped enjoying going “out out”

Just that really. I’m 29 and living in the city as a working professional. Up until the last 6 months or so, I guess you could say I’ve very much lived a ‘work hard, play hard’ sort of lifestyle involving a lot of socialising, drinking and late nights out. Over the past few months it’s as though a switch has been flipped and suddenly it’s just no fun anymore. The idea of a cosy night in, or a nice meal out with a couple of drinks and being back at home and in bed by 12pm is far more appealing!

The majority of my friends here in the city around my age are still very much in to the party way of life and are showing no signs of slowing down… so I wondered, when did the switch happen for you?!

i have never enjoyed going out out. I find standing and drinking in a busy pub boring. Nothing to enjoy in that. I like a quiet table in the corner where i can sit and watch people.

I prefer going for a walk, stop in a pub for a half in my leggings and hiking boots and walk home. Or a day at a local food festival where im out all day mooching, listening to live music and seeing different people.

i really dislike noisy places full of young people wearing ill fitting clothes. I prefer my sofa with a roaring fire,

Surely judging others for being a 'boring twat' is just as bad as judging middle aged women who go dancing .

I agree that life is for living ... but live the life you love ... whether that be dancing until the early hours or curling up in bed with a good book.... .

45. I just can't be bothered going out anymore. Go out occasionally but definitely dont want to go out getting pissed.
