DH just said he agrees with the parents in NZ

Sorry wasn't sure what to put as the title.

My DH has just said he wouldn't want his child treated with "vaccinated blood" either and wholeheartedly agrees with the NZ parents.

We don't have any kids but we are (were 😞) TTC.

He didn't have the vaccine which is his choice and I've tried not to discuss it with him too much because he can get very worked up about it.

He thinks vaccinated blood will give people cancer within 2-5 years. The "elites" know all about it and it would be child abuse to give a child vaccinated blood. He says deaths are up 10 fold since the vaccine.

I'm now seriously reconsidering TTC.

Wwyd in this situation? We've been together for 15 years. He never used to be an anti vaxxer. These extreme views started after the pandemic.

You find it hard to leave now. I get that it’s a big change but just imagine how you’ll feel in 5-10 years if you don’t leave and he’s still like this. You’ll regret not doing it earlier.

I agree with others that you should be careful when leaving. Given that he’s unstable and has weapons.

GooglyEyeballs · 01/12/2022 11:52

How can you have been with him for 15 years and only now be getting to grips with his obscure viewpoints?! Been with my husband 10 years since I was 20 and I know him well enough that we don't need to discuss things like this because we've been on the same page since 2012. After 15 years if you can't anticipate what his likely opinion is then idk why you are together.

People can change though. It’s clear from OP’s posts that he wasn’t a conspiracy theorist when they met.

It all sounds so dysfunctional and very unhealthy, for both of you.

But you cannot turn back time, so you have to accept that the husband you knew is no longer there. In his place is a stranger who is content to ignore your thoughts and feelings totally.

He is content to think of you as an idiot, who knows bugger all about anything.

He is content to dismiss everything you try to explain or talk to him about as 100% pure ignorance on your part.

He is content to tell you that only he knows the 'truth' about anything.

He is NOT the husband you knew. He will never again be the husband that you knew and loved.

Honestly ? I think the easiest way to split with him would be for you to get vaccinated for Covid-19, because then you won't be the one to do the leaving, HE will !

Stop putting his desires/needs/ideas above your own. Be your own person again.

Your husband isn’t the only person who is extremely concerned about the long-term effects of mRNA technology used to created the vaccine. Lots of people are, including scientists - including the scientist who was involved in the creation of this technology - medical professionals, same, rational people who like to do some basic research about what they put in their bodies? The technology has very serious side effects and has caused permanent disabilities and deaths already and this is just the short term risk. I’d accept vaccinated blood if it was the only blood available, but if it was vaccinated or not vaccinated I’d choose not vaccinated. At least until the long term side effects are known. To me, that’s sensible. But I didn’t have the vaccine either so I’m not frantically trying to pretend everyone being cautious is stupid to make myself feel less anxious, like some people seem to be. And no, I’m not an anti-vaxxer. Myself and my family are fully vaccinated against everything else! It’s specifically the mRNA technology we are concerned by, as are most people who read up on it.

shasha21 · 01/12/2022 13:39

And FWIW I have a medical background and now work in education so am not an idiot or uneducated. Just cautious.

The "scientist" you're referring to didn't in fact invent the mRNA vaccine and has been exposed as a charlatan.
mRNA vaccine technology has been researched for over a decade.
It is safe.

@MrsFinkelstein what other vaccines used mrna technology then? Im genuinely curious.

The new malaria vaccine for one:

I was wondering why the antivaxers have gotten so focused on blood clots as an alleged side effect recently. It would appear to be due to a disinformation video posted on twitter and rumble.

Experts Debunk Claims From New Anti-Vax Documentary — "Died Suddenly," released on Twitter and Rumble, puts forth "blatant lies"

anyolddinosaur · 01/12/2022 22:12

We dont know the long term effect of repeated covid infection but we do know it's going to be bad. We know covid increases death rates after you have apparently recovered, we dont know how long the effect lasts. Excess deaths will partly be long term effects of covid, partly less health care, we dont know how much is due to what cause.

Some of the "excess" deaths are still directly down to covid.

CoilBeGone · 01/12/2022 22:20

I didn’t have the vaccines, but if one of my children was in danger of dying without a blood transfusion I wouldn’t think twice about saying yes.

SavageTomato · 01/12/2022 22:29

Sorry you are dealing with this but your husband is gone. He's already blamed you for the miscarriage because of the flu vaccine. That's fucking despicable. He's using anti science bullshit to beat you down. If you stay with him you will simply throw good years after bad. I'd bet anything that he will go full Holocaust Denial. It is where all the conspiracy theories lead. Make no mistake about that. Check out Leuchter hoax story. It's on wikipedia and describes what my ex friend got sucked into. Stupid fucking bitch still believes 'the Jews lied about the six million ". Sounds too far fetched? That's from a qualified social worker who now works in mental health support. On paper perfectly clever. In practice she's a cult member who masquerades as giving a fuck. The only thing they care about is being right. Get the hell out love. You can save yourself and what he does is not your problem. He would let you and your children die because of his beliefs. Stop listening to him and his pseudo intellectual bullshit. Look up the sunk cost fallacy. The only thing stopping you from leaving is that. Fuck him. He's chosen to go down the path of emulating severe mental illness. How does it feel when you think about not dealing with that? Relief, right? Go darling. Go and claim the life you should have. Not this support role that will destroy you. There are thousands of men out there who don't believe in conspiracy shite. Wishing you well.

Oh for goodness sake

As someone who has done a lot of work with RNA any side effects would be short term, RNA degrades very quickly in & out of the body.
And yes in some very rare cases people do have reactions to vaccines, however the benefits far outweigh the risks.

I'm sure you are a sane and rational person and you are right to say that we should consider what we put in our bodies, however the vast vast majority of scientists and research shows that mRNA vaccines are safe an effective.
In a way you've perfectly exemplified how easy it is for people to fall for disinformation a d conspiracy theories.

MRNA vaccines have huge potential, against diseases that have previously been hard to develop vaccines for including malaria & ebola and the Biontech vaccine was originally being developed for use against cancer, this is something that we will be seeing more of as the technology becomes more widespread.

It will be interesting to see what the conspiracy theorists come up with then.
