Fucking hell - that poor, poor boy. His mother and her partner are absolute monsters. What a disgusting world we live in :(

Every single day there is a child being abused and while it goes against the grain we need to be more meddling more nosey and more ready to flag up unusual behaviour. We need to interfere more.

Since James Bulger I always step in and ask if everything is ok. I get abuse for it but I always question. Every time I see a child in distress in the company of an adult o either step in or report. Every single time. It takes a village.

interfere more.

RaininSummer · 03/11/2022 22:07

Poor poor lovely boy. I wonder why his father didn't find out in time to save him. Did he not phone him ever.

I keep wondering if language difficulties could have stopped him telling school

partly that, partly covid shutting the schools and partly as these monsters were devious and hit him where the injuries couldn’t be seen 😢

I dont think we can blame tje school or covid as i recall he only started school in year ten after emmigrating from poland ,sadly the world was in the midle of a pandemic tjat wont have helped but he couldnt have been in long enough for school to rause any safe guarding concens ,sebastians death, was because of his mother and his step fahers cruelty .

PinkSyCo · 03/11/2022 22:07

This story made me cry. Made even sadder by the fact that the poor child couldn’t speak English so had no friends. How lost and lonely he must have felt. It’s absolutely heartbreaking and I fucking hate the fact that the bastards who tortured him to death were allowed to marry while in jail. I seriously hope that they both die a really painful death.

Tiani4 · 03/11/2022 22:08

This is absolutely sickening to read. Hasn't heard about it before now
That poor poor boy
And he told no one at school SadSad what he was enduring at home ?
It is heart breaking and has made me sob for him

TheTantrumoftheToddlerIsThere · 03/11/2022 22:09

I work in a paediatric clinic that has multiple ‘non-accidental injuries’ medical (NAIs) a week. You would think this kind of thing doesn’t happen very often. I was very naive when I first started this job. I hate how cynical I have become.

RIP Sebastian.

StarShapedWindow · 03/11/2022 22:09

Watching the video has upset me beyond belief. That poor darling boy, he looks so broken. Surely no one who’d make a child suffer like this could be sane and well?

bluewanda · 03/11/2022 22:10

BaffledShopper · 03/11/2022 22:00

I do wonder why it is deemed to be in the public interest for newspapers to print stories like this one.
What good comes of all of us knowing what happened to this poor boy.

The parents will be just fine. Let us not forget that Myra HIndley and Ian Brady both died in prison… of old age.

Sorry, what?! You really think that the plight of vulnerable, abused kids like Sebastian (and Star, Arthur and all the other children who have suffered unimaginable horrors) is not in the public interest?! I can’t think of anything that is MORE in the fucking public interest!!

Just read this. Absolutely heartbreaking. The video of him struggling to sit down broke my heart.

I'm actually praying that someone gets hold of them in presiding. Pathetic excuses for humans.

OnTheRunWithMannyMontana · 03/11/2022 22:14

*prison

What the hell - his own mother. Horrific. No words. And poor jury sitting through that.

I don't even want to think about what the jury had to see.

It was reported that the judge has discharged the jury from ever being called again due to what they had to experience.

I honestly don't think I could do it.

Snugglemonkey · 03/11/2022 22:17

I have not read all the details, or watched the video. It is bad enough seeing the headlines and his sad eyes. Those eyes have are much to sad for a boy that age! I cannot stand seeing these cases, they are all too frequent.

AutumnScream · 03/11/2022 22:17

I couldn't finish the article.

I actually hope they die slow and agonizing deaths.

caggie3 · 03/11/2022 22:18

Heartbreaking, truly heartbreaking and it does feel like it's happening more and more doesn't it? Just imagining for one second how that sweet boy must of felt makes me tear up.

I had my firstborn before covid, and once covid struck he didn't see a health visitor or medical professional for well over a year and I had the horrible thought a few times of how many kids are slipping through the cracks here. Whilst my boy was fine, and being loved and taken care for they weren't to know that, and for those who weren't there were just so many missed opportunities to pick up on it. I wonder if this escalated during a similar time period?

RIP Sebastian Flowers

Wineat5isfine · 03/11/2022 22:20

I saw a short video earlier of this poor poor boy trying to sit down in a chair after an episode of pure cruelty. And sobbed.

what kind of people do this?!? And his MOTHER! 💔 Who has now become engaged to the other monster who led to this poor boys death.

I hope they both get a little karma in prison.

dottypotter · 03/11/2022 22:20

Put all these bastards in a plane and drop them out into the ocean. Leave them to drown in the freezing cold sea in the dark. Give them something to fear on the journey.

If we got something in place like this they might think twice. It's pretty obvious that facing prison is not enough to stop people.

You have to give them something to fear.
Prison is not enough.
Fed, watered, separated from others, all their human rights.
Where's the deterrent?

bluewanda · 03/11/2022 22:21

I don’t know how much difference the pandemic made to be honest. My health visitor was fairly useless and if I’d simply not bothered to turn up to appointments then they’d have left a few voicemails and that would have been it. They wouldn’t have investigated further.

What is also shocking are the people on here voting YABU.

who the fuck are those freaks?

Probably because there are already multiple posts about this case

bananatree99 · 03/11/2022 22:22

I can only hope that the abusers are killed in prison. That poor poor innocent child. It breaks my heart. All he wanted was loving parents.
Rip Sebastian. You are loved by us all x

Deterrents don’t work in terms of preventing crime

Thats a pretty well known fact when it comes to criminal behaviour patterns

Its why in places where there are harsher sentences they don’t have less crime.

Handsnotwands · 03/11/2022 22:23

To think of the hand wringing we do about not being good enough parents because our kids eat junk food, or we’re sometimes too tired to take them out and let them have a day of screen time, or we said no to a new pair of trainers when the old ones still fit.

how lucky my children are, even though I’m not always perfect. and how heartbreakingly, unthinkably awful some children have short, painful, terrifying lives.

that poor child 😢 he deserved so much more

Nowheretoogo · 03/11/2022 22:23

I don’t know why dm post videos,it’s heartbreaking and there is nothing we can do to help the poor boy,it’s happening far to much lately!

Onestepforwards2back · 03/11/2022 22:24

I couldn’t finish reading the article. Feel physically ill. Those poor jurors. It’s unimaginable the torture that poor child went through.

How do we know it wouldn't work?

At the moment people who do this type of thing know that the worse they will face is prison.
