Mines about 56 to 60. Mid thirties pretty average sized female.

XenoBitch · 02/11/2022 19:56

Mine is in the 70s/80s.

People who keep fit are known to have lower resting heart rates. It is not a bad thing if you feel well.

ScabbersChin · 02/11/2022 19:56

Mine is around 65. And I’m very active…. Aged 40

SealSquish · 02/11/2022 19:57

According to my Apple Watch mine is 62. I just googled and it says normal is 60-100 so yours does seem low.

Iwritethissittinginthekitchensink · 02/11/2022 19:57

meant to paste from the link above -

Most adults have a resting heart rate between 60 and 100bpm.

The fitter you are, the lower your resting heart rate is likely to be. For example, athletes may have a resting heart rate of 40 to 60bpm, or lower.

See a GP to get checked if you think your heart rate is continuously above 120bpm or below 60bpm, although it may simply be that this is normal for you.

Chesneyhawkes1 · 02/11/2022 19:59

I run a lot mine is around 40-45. When I was super fit it was 38.

My work always comment on it every medical I have.

MirandaWest · 02/11/2022 19:59

Mine's mid 50s. Am 47 and fairly active. I don’t think there’s any issues with it being that amount.

bigdecisionstomake · 02/11/2022 19:59

Mine is between 53 & 55 usually according to my Fitbit. I do work out a fair bit though and am quite active generally. Mid 50s.

Twateralflow · 02/11/2022 19:59

Mine is 48 I am fairly fit - run, yoga, weights 4-6 times a week. Walk a lot. I'm 46

Amoozbooze · 02/11/2022 20:00

I was being monitored for something else in hospital last week and mine was 55 lying down and resting, they didn't comment on it. Is your rate always 51? I'm not medically trained but it does seem a bit low. According to Dr Google its on the very lower end of normal. How's your blood pressure? Do you feel dizzy or anything?

runjy · 02/11/2022 20:01

Are you using a fitbit or similar? I thought those devices make them lower because they include sleeping heart rates, obviously when you go to the doc to get measured you are sitting and not sleeping

Cwcwbird · 02/11/2022 20:01

Mid-50s. I'm 46 and definitely not an athlete but I do run a few times a week and go to the gym. When I had a hiatus from running it went up to mid 60s.

UnaOfStormhold · 02/11/2022 20:01

45ish but I am pretty active (46 yo female). Yours is low but if you're reasonably fit I'd say not worryingly so.

RedRiverShore2 · 02/11/2022 20:02

Mines about 65-70, I am 64, I had covid recently and it was about 80-90 for a week or so which was a bit scary. DHs is about 55-60, he does lots of running though, lots of exercise can make it a bit lower

UnaOfStormhold · 02/11/2022 20:03

I just looked back and before I started running 2.5 years ago I averaged about 55.

MintChocCornetto · 02/11/2022 20:03

40-42

I'm 41. My RHR has always been on the low side even when I'm unfit. I wouldn't say I'm "an athlete" but I have a good level of fitness.

RedRiverShore2 · 02/11/2022 20:04

Oh my resting is sat watching TV, not in bed as I don't wear my watch overnight.

ChocolateCinderToffee · 02/11/2022 20:04

In the middle of the night, lying in bed, it goes down to about 50. I'm morbidly obese.

AssignedSlytherinAtBirth · 02/11/2022 20:06

I've just tested mine and it's 74. I'm sure it's faster than it used to be, before I had Covid.

I'm 57 and mine is 40. I'm a runner so it's normal.

chandellina · 02/11/2022 20:08

Mine is always low. Just tested it and it was 45 bpm, that's normal for me. It's always been low, and I have low blood pressure. No idea why. I run every day but it was that low when I was a teenager and didn't exercise. I was a bit concerned when I was prescribed codeine after surgery once and it went below 20 but doctor said no worries if I still felt OK. 😂

I have asked a medical professional about this before. They said some have higher, some have lower. The issue rises if it suddenly changes either way, then to be concerned.

TakeMe2Insanity · 02/11/2022 20:08
