Would you vote conservative again?

I wouldn’t vote conservative again after the total shambles that have been the last 12 years. They’re constantly infighting rather than sorting out the economy and have left the NHS in a total mess. No care for people suffering from the cost of living crisis

Two much energy has been expended on single issue politics. I find it hard to understand why some posters are so focused on parties stance on self ID- without considering the huge and detrimental impact Tory government has had on women and children

Have you considered the huge and detrimental impact to women and children when their rights to privacy and safeguarding measures have been removed?

This matters and needs fixing is Labour want to stand a chance.

I want to vote Labour but we cannot let Labour wreck 150 years of work on women's and children's rights.

It's fundamental.

Ilovemycatalot · 06/11/2022 17:51

I’d rather eat my toenails than vote Tory. That’s not an exaggeration either.

BananaCocktails · 24/10/2022 18:44

I’ll never vote Tory or labour again
they are both exactly the same
No idea who I will Vote for now

In what way?

Rollingdownland · 22/10/2022 09:36

Well, I wouldn't vote Labour. That much I know.

What are your reasons?

Why have you always loved the conservatives?
what about the greens appeals to you

On the topic of Tories and Labour being exactly the same:

I ve a DD who does sport, i was a victim of DV and want nothing more than a better world for my DD and all other women/girls come to that.

I ve seen first hand the harm Tory policies have done to females, children and victims of DV.

What is so nice about a Tory party that has protected an MP from rape charges, even paying for a victims private care & i see they have withdrawn bans on gay conversions therapies.

BUT i will wait until Labour publish their manifesto, i have no issues with Trans rights, however they should never be at the expense of female ones, i hope they get that balance correct.

verdantverdure · 07/11/2023 14:06

But why does it need fixing if the party that "knows what a woman is" has been in power for 13 years?

Surely they fixed it?

Dotjones · 07/11/2023 14:37

MadeleineMummy · 07/11/2023 13:36

What are your reasons?

For me, I will never vote Labour because they introduced tuition fees for students and trashed the country in the last few years of their last time in power. The Tories have just done a shit job with cleaning up Labour's mess, but I'll never forgive them for the way they dismantled democracy during the Blair years.

What mess did labour leave behind?
What did Blair do to dismantle democracy?

MintJulia · 07/11/2023 15:06

@verdantverdure It needs fixing because we don't want to jump from the frying pan to the fire.

I want a government that recognises and respects women. That protects our safe spaces.

I'm not voting for a party that will 'only be equally as bad' because they could be worse. The whole point of a general election is to vote for something better.

Sparkleirisheyes · 07/11/2023 15:20

Don’t know how anyone with a conscious can look around at how badly the country is doing and how desperate people are and say, I’m alright Jack, I’ll vote for more of the same please.

The NHS affects us all, even if you have private cover, as does crime etc. Don’t bury your privileged heads in the sand!
For those who say at least they know what a woman is, give it a rest, have you seen all the cases of sexual misconduct/rape within the Conservative Party! Hardly the party for women.

Why do you feel they will be “equally as bad”?

Why do you think they will not protect women’s rights and the conservatives will?

Desecratedcoconut · 07/11/2023 15:39

It'll be the same shit with a side helping of gender woo. Joy.

MrsBennetsPoorNerves · 07/11/2023 15:43

Couldn't possibly vote for them "again" because I would never have voted for them in the first place.

Shade17 · 07/11/2023 15:48

Of course! I wouldn’t vote for Labour to run a market stall!

CapMarvel · 07/11/2023 15:50

Never have, never will.

Elphame · 07/11/2023 15:50

I will certainly never vote Labour. That’s an absolute certainty

dannyufcfan · 07/11/2023 15:55

It really is no surprise that the Tories keep getting in is it?

They could do almost anything and you would have a decent amount of people saying, 'but Labour would be just as bad!''

I think a labour government is inevitable at this point, so they can prove us all wrong.

Desecratedcoconut · 07/11/2023 16:04

I'm particularly looking forward to an abundance of house building to mop up all the currently unused labour in the construction industry 🤣
