What does the average Mumsnetter look like?

I’ve been on Mumsnet for a long time (under lots of different names) and yet I still really struggle to picture what the average MNetter looks like.

I read threads about things like how most only wear tinted moisturiser and Boden clothes, and because I’m so far removed from that, I can’t picture it.

AIBU to ask you to describe the ‘stereotypical’ MNetter for me? Bonus points for celebrity/stock images for reference.

I used to model for Victoria's Secret but gave it up when I made a bid to join the space programme.

I picture long brown hair with a deep fringe, black leggings, chunky boots and a patterned top - biggish boobs and good legs. That's on the basis that the people who post what they wear on S&B with their faces scribbed out always seem to be that type.

I am short, a bit fat and do wear Seasalt or White Stuff for lounging around the house, mainly because it is cut to flatter my shape and very soft cotton. But never feel good in it. Always very mumsy. I'd dress very differently if I was tall and slim. But not a lot of options at my height and size.

I hadn't seen these "who looks like me" apps before. I tried one, says I look most like Chelsea Clinton...I don't, at all, but that is quite flattering given that she is much much younger than me...

Then I tried another one and it gave me Ariana Grande. That is complete rubbish!

My looks in reality: I am 59, short, roundish, very big tits, extremely unfashionably dressed 99% of the time and have quite a friendly face (I like to think) and a smile with very crooked teeth. I look fatter in photos than I imagine myself to be. I have never been beautiful but when I was young I was fairly attractive in a conventional way (good figure, quite sweet face). Now I am just one of those middle-aged women you would not notice unless you are actually talking to me... (No Boden, I do have a couple of tops from Seasalt though).

I imagine slim with highlighted swishy hair. Wearing jeans and a Boden Breton top and pumps with a jacket. Drives a big, expensive car. Has a dog and 2 children who attend private school. Husband works in the city and earns mega bucks. She lives in a slightly chaotic house with children’s drawings cluttering up the outside of the fridge and a notice board in the kitchen with thousands of notices pinned to it. Shoes clutter the utility room and nobody can ever find the matching pair in a hurry.
She owns a Mack and a coat from Seasalt. She also wears ‘tasteful’ jewellery.

This is how MNHQ check if a poster is genuine. Ask for a photo, and if you're not wearing any Boden, the thread is pulled. (not true, probably)

I put a picture of my DH into that site and it said Sean Bean! He looks absolutely nothing like Sean Bean (and is more than ten years younger than Sean Bean)!

Hair, skin, eyes...

I look like the original Tomb Raider model 30 years on if she really let herself go, put on a few pounds, couldn't be bothered to dye her hair as often as she should & shopped at Seasalt or Celtic & co after ditching the short shorts & guns look.

I imagine everyone else on here looks like the Posh Family from Catherine Tate

Ok then if you insist. I have a tall child. She is incredibly good looking. Earns so much money that it spills out of her sleeves as she breezes past people. My other child is also tall, quite shy and is often mistaken for a prince! Women literally fall at his feet!
I too am tall and can fit into children’s clothes I am so thin. Well apart from children’s tops as my breasts are huge.
I have (naturally) long blonde bouncy hair and striking blue eyes. My skin is like porcelain. I wear expensive clothes which float around as I walk. I too have a tinkly laugh. I wear discrete jewellery which my incredibly handsome and rich husband bought me.
I am 45 but I do get mistaken for being a school child.
I do work, part time choosing the days I work and earn 250k pocket money. My dh earns 500k and we will inherit a few million when his parents pop their clogs.

My husbands quite an eclectic mix, but I think he’ll be very happy with Brad Pitt😂

Omg ,I love the 'who looks like me' option. Apparently I look most like Gore Verbinksi (never heard of him before). None of the Slebs are as hopelessly scruffy as me, so I actually look like no one.

Ps : I imagine the average MNer is a fat Londoner, tbh. Not obese, just chunky, stylish, snobby AF. Either too loud or furiously passive-aggressive quiet.

Only joules I've ever worn were gifted horse riding tops mind ,
Have 3 reactive dogs so would be loathed on here , like wildlife especially foxes ..
Have never found the Mumsnet chicken that could stretch a week and I don't like wine or gin
Don't have any family to help with DD , single parent , late 40s but I like to think I'm very funny 😅
