Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby

I can't find a thread on this. I don't watch them and I'm not particularly a fan, I find Schofield a bit smarmy. But I'm baffled by the tabloid hate at the moment.

I've obviously clicked on something about them because my timeline has now shown multiple articles from the Mail and Express on the campaign for them to resign because of their Royal Funeral queue jumping.

My understanding - and I didn't follow the funeral obsessively so may be wrong - is that there were two public queues, a queue for those with disabilities, and a VIP queue. David Beckham apparently achieved sainthood by using the public queue. But surely many, many other celebrities and dignitaries used the 4th queue?

So why have Schofield and Willoughby been signalled out? And why is the campaign still going a week after the actual funeral?

It just makes no sense to me. Anyone got any theories?

YANBU They didn't do anything different to many other VIPs.

YABU They behaved disgracefully and should be sacked.

I hope so too.

Its crazy how in this day and age these men can be protected and take advantage of vulnerable people because of who they are, and the fact they have money and power. It gives me rage to see these creeps on TV all smug because they know they can do what they like with no consequences. Anyone else would probably be in prison or at least have a criminal case ongoing investigating allegations.

I've never liked them, he's arrogant and smarmy and she's irritating. They're among a group of people who make me reach for the remote the minute they appear on the screen.

I'll add being entitled queue jumpers to the list as well now.

I have never read anywhere that PS is self-pitying, smug, or a pain in the arse. I worked it out from seeing his insincere, inept and shallow interviews ever; seeing his fake cracking-up with people who say they don't even speak to him anymore; his crying on coming out; the way he acts in a superior fashion with those around him; his stories about his hair; his stupid car adverts; the fact that when I see his smug face on tv, I want to smash my fist through my tv screen. And many it her reasons - some which I admit are visceral. I'm not interested in rumours of why he came out and what he gets up to. If they're true, I really couldn't loathe him more so they are immaterial to me.

I have always had the ick from DW. I'm sure I stopped reading his children's books to the kids as they were peppered with double entendres which I found totally inappropriate.

I don't really follow daytime TV but wondered what was behind the Holly and Phil bile. Tiny bit of digging and came across the grooming story.

Similar with DJ.

Just so depressing that the information is out there and time after time these big organisations say 'lessons have been learnt'.
