24th September - dooms day... what?!

So we are currently away on holiday, just spoken to friends back home who asked if we had heard about this viral 'news' (I put that lightly)

Apparently on 24th September, there is going to be a large, catastrophic world event in which everybody will remember exactly where we are and what we were doing at that exact moment.

Does anybody else know anything about this?! Maybe I'm just blissfully unaware!

Well if it’s doomsday no one gonna be here to remember it so………..

I've lived through about 50 doomsday predictions so far, I think I'll survive this one too.

I hope not. I'm hiring a van for the weekend and don't want to pay for 2 days if I can't use it on Sunday.

Actually my diary is completely empty for this weekend , which is unusual, so it will nice to have something to do.

You know what, if Saturday is the end of the world, so be it. Next week was going to be hell for me at work anyway.

My only concern though is if everyone's going to remember where they were at that moment, the event itself might not be all that bad? I mean if say Japan is wiped off the map by a tsunami or giant lizard, it'll be memorable and shocking, but life on this side of the planet will just go on.

Apparently it's all over social media! I must live an extremely boring life as I don't have anything about it on any of my news feeds!

Never said I believe it! Just wondered where it's all come from and if it's big 'news' back in the UK! Heard nothing about it here in Indonesia

This has all come from a cut up Twitter clip of a German politician saying people will remember where they were on September 24th, there’s no other context to it to see what he was actually referring too, a lot of people were saying it’s just something to do with German politics. It’s just snowballed from that one small clip.

I hope not- it's my dds birthday that day and we are going for a nice weekend away!

Google is your friend here. A couple of clicks tells me that a German politician misspoke when talking about the Russian invasion and said everyone would remember sept 24th when they meant Feb 24th, the day of the invasion. Then conspiracy theorists ran with it.

And what social media would that be - Facebook 😂😂

Did this doomsday forecast appear because of Mr. Putin's threat to use nuclear weapons?

I'm moving my son to uni that day. I doubt il even see the news!

It’s my daughters birthday that day, we will be at center parcs. So not too bad of a place to die in case of a doomsday!

Been reading there is a very large volcano in New Zealand that might erupt soon.. and then there's Putin?
