24th September - dooms day... what?!

So we are currently away on holiday, just spoken to friends back home who asked if we had heard about this viral 'news' (I put that lightly)

Apparently on 24th September, there is going to be a large, catastrophic world event in which everybody will remember exactly where we are and what we were doing at that exact moment.

Does anybody else know anything about this?! Maybe I'm just blissfully unaware!

Did you get any wine?

Only day I don't work, so at least I can be with my family and cats. I was thinking about trying a new recipe with red wine that day, but maybe I should bring that forward to Friday and make sure I've enjoyed the wine before whatever.

They way things are at the moment, it would actually be a relief!

Just booked to go to the fancy pool this Saturday, so it better be after that. Don't wanna waste my money.

It's the 25th actually. I'm doing a Sunday meal for too many people, one if which I don't know. If that's you, hello.

It will be 'sort of Spanish' if that gives you context for a wine to bring.

The bottom oven died on Tuesday and I haven't faced up to getting it fixed, so while not exactly the end of the world, this could all go badly wrong.

I've got a colonoscopy on the 24th and judging by the state of my arse at the moment, it'll be the end of the world for the consultant doing it

Sorry, but that made me laugh 😁. I currently have a DC in hospital with Colitis and that has made me feel better.

Well, I'm having a catio installed so my cats will certainly remember it.

Saves me enduring another school run followed by a day in work. I'm all for it. Hopefully it'll hit before we get up for the day so I don't have to get out of bed. 😂

Why don't you start a thread, might help to talk it out with us

Where I’ve got to survive this I’m re buying the 1978 editions of 007 novels my family made me get rid off, years ago my family have so much to answer for (huge story) I’ll survive but I’m losing hope now.

Hope not, my bin wasn't collected on Monday because of the bank holiday so that's going to become a mess for any survivors to deal with.
And I'm expecting an Amazon delivery too.

It's' my birthday next Monday, and I've got friends coming round to see my new kitchen on Sunday, so if it could wait a week, I'd be most appreciative, thanks.

Apparently it's all over social media! I must live an extremely boring life as I don't have anything about it on any of my news feeds! ConfusedGrin

Well if it's all over social media, it must be right.

If everyone will remember where they were then the odds sound high for us all surviving it, so can’t be that bad! 😁

Eon want me to read my meter today to pay for September’s electricity, with over a week of September still to go. Hmm . Maybe they want the money safely in their coffers before The Event. Post-Event, only cockroaches and energy company shareholders will survive, obviously.

It’s my wedding anniversary. No large party planned so far, but you’re all welcome at the Biscuit Factory so we can face the end together 😁
