Lots of comments about Holly W supposedly saying she’s going to quit This Morning..do you think she will, why? Would that be a good move?

Their interviews are scripted, the idea for the energy bills, the idea to go and cover the lying in state will all have come from the producers, and they’re employed to carry it all out.*

Whilst I agree, I doubt it was their idea, I think it's likely that PS has a lot of say in the content of the show (he has previously said so). If he'd raised concerns I doubt it would've went ahead.

I think they probably didn't consider the optics of the comp - they have in the past given away 'mortgage/rent for a year', so I would imagine they considered the energy comp on par with that sort of thing and completely misjudged how it would come across.

Crass and unwise but hardly worthy of the public roasting they're getting.

Of course she won't, her bosses won't let her they thinks she's wonderful and the public adore her. Didn't he say he could never do the show without her ? Let's see if he's true to his word if she quits.

Maybe this roasting has come out of nowhere (seemingly) because somewhere along the way they did get quite smug, but their PR machine made them untouchable...meanwhile people's interests in having other presenters moved on to wanting someone else & this was just the general frustration coming out? The Wild Moon and spin for energy bills stuff probably didn't help all that.

Also sudden press vacuum after the funeral, everyone's jumping on this instead (probably)....I'd take Richard & Judy back personally!

Caroline was very troubled, holly has a life of Riley, she seems completely untouched by anything horrible in life, very smug individual.

,we have had to take a loan out pay to ours .
never liked them ,after seeing this game show and their smug faces ,that’s enough for me to seriously dislike them…
they are woefully out of touch with us ordinary folk

You have no idea about that.

Caroline Flack was a domestic abuser, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t troubled.

Nobody actually knows any of thee people in person, in fact I presume nobody would bully people they actually did know in person like this so there is no excuse for doing it to someone you don’t know.

And before someone says “but they’re in the public eye,” that doesn’t matter. They’re still human beings, with friends and family and in her case children who end up as collateral damage from the public lynchings.

The trouble with H & P type of popularity, particularly Holly is that they have to be relatable. Its why her wardrobe has many affordable pieces, she's just the same as me etc I agree that what they've done isn't that bad but I don't watch the show & buy into Hollys brand. For those that do this is a huge reminder that she isn't of us, that's the problem.

I just wish that Phillip Schofield would be banned from doing those ‘we buy any car’ adverts. His smug little “Phillip Schofield here” at the beginning makes me want to shout at the radio. No other famous person doing voiceovers introduces themselves. “Sean Bean here. Aren’t O2 great?”

Surely this is just a tabloid based witch hunt?some celebs queued. TV hosts/journalists/MPs didn't. Such is life.
The pair of them are not my cup of tea personally but this hysterical reaction seems unfair.

I do think people are going waaaaaay OTT about this ‘queue jumping’ nonsense.

The Queen only laid in stage for a few days, it’s a huge historical event that the world’s media (be it newspapers or morning TV programmes) need to descend on so they can report and provide footage, and only have a short window of time in which to do so.

It’s not Phil & Holly’s fault that hundreds and thousands of utter loons completely
lost the run of themselves and queued for 14+ hours. They had press passes because they present a ‘magazine’ morning show.

So we either are comfortable with the fact that press got passes and ‘skipped the queue’ (aka didn’t have to queue with the people who aren’t working and seemingly have bags of time to piss around in a queue) or we aren’t - but why pick on Phil & Holly?!

I agree with a PP this is feeling too much like the stick Caroline Flack got except she actually assaulted someone whereas P&H quite simply sort-of-maybe skipped a queue. Get a fucking grip you lot.

You do realise that P&H don’t actually pick the prizes???? That they just present the show? They don’t make the games, or work the cameras, or wire the microphones - their job is to present what they’re given by other people.

He isn’t a producer on This Morning. Never has been. They have been married 15 years, and married about 7 years after HW found fame. Stop making out like she’s some sort of gold digger who only got a job through her husband’s work, rather than someone who’s actually worked their way up.

God people really fucking hate women don’t they and can’t wait to stick the boot in even if they have to completely make things up in order to do so

I don't particularly dislike Holly but how has Philip Schofield still got a job ? He's vile , many other presenters also really dislike him because he's horrible Eamon, Rylan , Fern Britton and Amanda Holden. He's not a nice person and I don't understand who's protecting him.

If Phil and Holly jumped the queue, then so must have many, many others. It's not really them that should be brought to account but those that orchestrated it. But at the end of the day it was just a queue to walk past someone's coffin, not a queue to be exalted into heaven.

Can I check what the outrage is about? Is it because they went through the fast track queue or because they went through the fast track queue but pretended - or let it be believed - that they had been in the long queue with the "ordinary people"?

There was a thread on here saying wasn't it nice they had queued then people started pointing out they had lanyards on so they hadn't. (Except in the VIP area you probably still have to queue for 5 minutes so it wouldn't have been a lie, just misleading. )

Exactly.

The loons who entered that queue knew exactly how long it would take to reach the coffin and that when they did it would be a quick look and then move along. Two people with press passes hardly imposed on anybody’s day unless people are precious about having to wait a nanosecond longer
