Will Holly walk?

Lots of comments about Holly W supposedly saying she’s going to quit This Morning..do you think she will, why? Would that be a good move?

I assume that it was the producers of Good Morning (Holly’s husband isn’t one of them) who sent them off to do that segment, rather than Holly & Phil arranging it, so it does seem to me to be unfair that they’re the ones copping all the flack. Presumably, that’s what she’s upset/angry about. They’ve been hung out to dry over the decisions of others who are currently now hiding behind them.

I think this too. No chance she'll walk though unless she's got an even better gig to go to. FWIW, I actually quite like Holly but can't stand Phil & he definitely brings out the worst in her!

I have often wondered how Fiona Phillips hasn't had more work and been on TM given Martin Frizzell. I always quite liked her and would like to see more of her on TV.

I think she will go. Been doing it for years- bound to be bored. Will get enough other work to do her. Plus bound to realise now that Phil is not well liked.

I don't think Holly is getting piled on any more than Phil.

I do think the pile on is shit though and it needs to stop. That toxic cesspit Twitter is the worst. There are some vile creatures on there.

I can imagine she’s probably been worrying about it since the story started on Twitter etc. I noticed they gave their excuses in a pre recorded audio over a video rather than live to save awkwardness.

If what they say happened was actually the case and them, Alison, dermot etc all spent the day down there in and out of different places to make some videos.. is there anything wrong with that? Yes, if they’d just gone a jolly down there and been smug about it then that is rubbing peoples face’s in it but lots of politicians did exactly that in their exemption queue and none of them are getting bad publicity for it. I think the tide fully turned for them when Beckham was spotted in the queue!

Ironically, everyone standing in that queue fully bought into an idea that some people deserve more privilege and special treatment than they do. The irony of it walking straight past you and then getting annoyed about it while you're literally waiting for hours to nod at the most privileged woman in the world in a box.

I get the irony but it was still a crass thing to do, given that she's a prominent tv presenter.
I suspect that she's blubbing about how she's been vilified and has 'threatened' to walk... knowing that schedulers and producers will say ' oh no Holly!!! Don't be silly!!! We'll ride this out! We love you!!!'

To be fair... it's not a huge loss if she walks.

Seriously so baffled as to why this is even still a thing?! It’s the most bizarre incident to focus on, especially considering it was live streamed so anyone could watch it anytime, without queuing at all🤷‍♀️

I actually really don’t understand this situation. There is a media area and a public area. Phillip and Holly work for media and therefore went through the media area. The same as media go straight through for gigs and the like without standing around waiting or queuing. I really don’t get how people can get so irate over this?!

At the end of the day there are far better presenters out there than Holly and Phil, I think Holly only got the job because at the time she was a young blonde to draw in a younger audience and Phil was likely on his way out until he came out. So many more presenters with the show are so much more engaging and thoughtful/entertaining in their presenting and interviewing styles. Holly now is now longer the 'young fun' one she once was and times have changed, she's ditzy and clueless when presenting and now no longer brings much to the table. Hopefully this was be a signal for ITV that the public are fed up of them and want a change.

Programmes like This Morning and Loose Women need stopping. H&P apparently are so dumbstruck by the back lash, they don't seem to understand they aren't untouchable. Id love them to both walk but sadly their egos just won't allow it.
